Question:
i have 2 cats one long hair main coon and one short haired mutt and my daughter has sinus problems bigtime. were not sure its the cats but it kinda seems that way. she suggested we shave the maincoon and bath both alot. does any of yall have any suggestions . the thought of getting rid of my cats kill me i would rather get rid of my daughter . lol shsss the cats are the only one nice to me when im not aggravating them that is.
my little male was to funny yesterday he was layed upside down on a louge chair at the edge of the deck and when a boat would pass he would look up watch the boat watch the waves and put his head back down . i said hey bud call me if ya see a bikini. use HEY NICE BOAT . thats what us guys do .lol he cocked his head as if to say huhhhh whattttttt duhhhhh
Maybe you and your cats should get a new place?? lol
lol i did . lol it was to cute i came home one day and my daughter was in school stressed out and being a total b . so i started thowing cloth in a bag and putting the bags by the door and my cat went and sat by my bags . as fi to say if you go im comming . i have another house i just left that one couldnt handle the stress anymore . lol

At one time, we had 4 cats in this house and my mom and I both have allergies to cats. Just can't stay away from them though :)
We have a certain kind of furnace filter (I think it's a furnace filter, if not, it's some other kind of filter that the air throughout the house goes through..) that's made specifically to help with allergies. I don't think hypoallergenic is the right word for it, but it's something to that effect... allergy-reducing? I really know my stuff here ;)
We also run a few different air purifiers throughout the house...one in each room that the cats really hang out in a lot. The ones we have are like $30 at walmart, but I know my sister has some crazy $300 one... our $30 ones work just fine, thank you :D That seems to make a pretty big difference.
Other than that all you can do is vacuum like a maniac and suck all that hair up! We have one realllll good shedder.. I know my boyfriend's mom, who is a vet tech and animal fanatic (they have 5 or 6 cats, two dogs in the house, 5 or 6 horses and a goat outside) vacuums at least once a day. I'm not motivated enough to do that but we try to vacuum a couple times a week.

thanks mari . i got several of the filters also but they dont seem to help much...it could be the oak trees and a combination of things to im reaching for straws. ya think shaving will help.
cant take anything cause of a heart problem .
well I don't know about the cats but CoQ10 is great for the heart....I asked my DH's cardiologist about giving it to my DH after triple by-pass and he said yes by all means it is a great product!...(not that I needed his endorsement) he is in good shape and I say it was the CoQ10 that did it!!!!!
ok now for the cats.....wouldn't it be easier for your daughter to get married and move out?.... :p just kidding....
I read some where that it is not the hair on the cat that causes allergies but the saliva that they are always using to clean themselves...or perhaps the dander!

Now we don't have any bad allergies with three cats and all, but sometimes I have a sneezing fit with some of my cat's flying hair. Watch out for their fur and use those lint rollers to pick it up. You guys should be fine. :)
I'm so sorry, Joey. Instead of assuming that it's the cats. Have your daughter go to an allergist. They'll run some tests and see if she is, in fact, allergic to anything -- including your cats. (Let's hope not.) If it turns out that she is allergic to your cats, then the allergist might be able to give her some medication that will relieve her symptoms. I have some pretty servere allergies. So much so, that I go for allergy shots. I started out getting a shot once a week. Now that I'm on a "maintenance" dose, I have to go every six weeks. It's a pain in the you know what, but it's better then having your daughter suffer or -- even worse -- getting rid of the cats.

my little male was sitting up on the facebowl watching me shave this morning so i gave him a nose full of shave cream.mmmm smells good can we eat that . lol
JRS: My son has SEVERE asthma & allergies. Literally, the kid is allergic to everything under the sun with the exception of food. He went the immunotherapy route (allergy shots) for a couple of years but it didn't help much.
He IS highly allergic to cats and we were of course advised to get rid of 'em. HE wouldn't hear of it! We instead keep his room OFF-LIMITS to the cats; the door stays closed. He also has a good HEPA filter running in his room ... no carpeting ... his mattress & pillows are covered in those non-allergenic cover thingies (sorry, the proper name for those escapes me at the moment) ... bedding is washed frequently ... and he is medicated out the wazoo (presently Advair, Singulair, Rhinocort, Zyrtec-D daily, and albuterol inhaler, breathing machine, and/or prednisone, as needed; also carries an epi-pen). This keeps things under control for the most part.
His particular allergy DO NOT cause the typical symptoms of itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, or runny nose. His problems are limited to asthma & sinus infections.
A good allergy specialist can make a world of difference in managing these problems!

well went to the heart dr and he gave her scripts for zertec and flownaz hopfully that will help dont wanna have to eat my cats lol
this is the honest truth i was working in baton rouge years back and one of the workers brought a red gravy with speggitti and everyone is eating and the owners wife walks in and gets her a plate and says gardon this is good what kinda meat is it .and he fishes a skull out the pot and says its cat . everyone stopped eating but wasnt shocked whewwwwwwww .. he also raises thankgiving puppies he had two the year i worked with him, he ate one and kept the other for his pet but his alligator got that one .. he was in vietnam to long

well he lived in a tree for a while with a girlfriend (what woman would stay i have no idea) and they bathed in a wheelbarrow. he walks the swamps at night catching snakes and he turns them lose inside his treee house and they wake up with the snakes in the bed with them for one......one of my friends and his wife went to visit once and gordon was sitting in his tree house naked and my other friend said gorden would you put some draws on or somthing .and gordon said this is my house i didnt invite you, i dont wear cloths when im at home so if you dont like it leave . lol

this is a good one . he dont believe in using the bathroom sitting down ."humans shouldnt sit they should squat " well he moved out his treehouse and bought a house trailor but never hooked up the bathroom . he dug a post hole out front and put a big grinding wheel over the hole and that was his bathroom . lol well he moved in baton rouge with a friend for a while and there was this other freak we worked with didnt have anywher to live so he stayed out at gordons for a few months . well gordon told him he had to go he was going back home . when he got there . there was funky looking stuff in plastic bags in the saplings behind the house trailor . the guy woudnt use his post hole he was draping the bags in the bathroom and opening the door and slinging them in the trees. so gordon had to get his shotgun and shot them out the trees.. now thats true trailortrash . that has to be true no way i could dream up anything that bazar lol only in louisiana roflmao do any of yall have strange people in yalls lives are is that just here . lol
