Love,
Melissalynn I plan on heading into the City on Saturday morning. (It's a quick bus/subway ride from the Sheridan.) I plan on being at Houlihans' by 2:00 p.m., so I'm going to head over to the City around 10:30 or so.
Mike
We have Mitch, Katie, Melissa Lynn and Myself. Would anyone else like to join us? I would like to make 7:30 reservations at one of the following locations:
Trinity
306 Sinatra Drive
Hoboken, NJ
http://www.hobokentrinity.com/
The Quays
310 Sinatra Drive
Hoboken, NJ
http://www.thequayshoboken.com/
340 Grill
340 Sinatra Drive
Hoboken, NJ
http://www.3fortygrill.com/
They're all a convenient cab and/or light rail ride from the Sheridan. Mitch told me that he would be happy to give people a ride. They're all located right next door to each other, have different menus and price points, and have awesome views of the City. I've eaten at 340 Grill (so has Flakey Matt and his wife) and have been meaning to try Trinity. The Quays is new to me.
Weather permitting, we may even be able to sit outside.
Let me know what you think or if anyone would like to join us.
Mike
Mike you know that I am good for wherever we go as long as were together :D Im so excited and CANT believe that I am taking the TRAIN... Im facing a FEAR.... I need a drink just thinking about it LOL.... I am taking amtrak (which of course is more expensive LOL) to Penn Station and Mitch is going to pick me up....... I cant wait to see everyone...
I even looked into taking a small plane into the airport there LOL that was a crazy idea... maybe if I was rich I would pay 895.00 to fly to one state over lol...
I think will a little Xanex I should do fine on the train.... Oh the train how am I ever going to do this....
Good for you Katie. Taking the train is just like taking the plane. I take a train to and from work every day. Karen takes a train from Boston every time she comes to see us. Taryn and her friend Connie took a train from CT when they came to see us in May. It's a great way to travel.
I'm leaning toward Trinity, but any of the three places will be fine with me.
Mike
Thats fine with me mike.... anything is good for me  Im so excited.... The days are going buy too slow now
hi katie
i agree it's taking to long to get here. but i will be there on the 26.

is Hoboken, NJ close to the park were the gates are. they looked neat in the snow. it was on tv Depending on the traffic, Central Park is approximately 45 minutes from Hoboken. (It can take much longer if there's a back up at the tunnel.)

Hi Karen,
You asked:Oh Dear Linkmaster Mike!!!!

Thanks!
Can wait to see everyone. k Can't wait to see everyone too!
Houlihan's is in the Lincoln Harbor office/retail complex and here's a link to their website: http://www.harmonmeadow.com/pages/l...harborpage.html.
Take the Parkway to the Turnpike and exit at Exit 16E, which is also the Exit for the Lincoln Tunnel. From there you can do one of two things. If you stay to the RIGHT the exit eventually becomes an exit only lane for Kennedy Blvd. If you do not make any turns, you will cross Kennedy Blvd (right after you go past Toys 'R Us) and you'll be on 30th Street in Union City. (30th Street runs parallel to and above Route 495 East -- more about that later.) Stay on 30th Street. (You may have to steer around double parked cars and there will be a stop light at every intersection.) You'll go past the main Union City post office and a gas station. (I think that it's a Sunoco station -- but don't hold me to that.) DO NOT MAKE ANY TURNS. You'll start to go down hill when you go past the gas station. Stay to the right. You'll come to a stop light. Proceed through the intersection (Pleasant Avenue) and continue going down the hill. Stay to the right until you go past the yield sign. Get into the LEFT lane. Make a LEFT onto Harbor Blvd at the very next traffic light. (It's a LEFT turn only lane.) (Harbor Blvd is immediately past the Lincoln Tunnel administration building.) Stay straight and start looking for the entrance to the parking lot. Call me if you get lost. I'll pm you my cell phone number.
If you decide to take Route 495 EAST -- instead of 30th Street -- shift over from the exit only lane for Kennedy Blvd after you exit from the Turnpike at Exit 16E. A wall will be on your right. You will go under several over passes. You will start to see signs that say "Ferries to New York", "Hoboken Weehawken", "Oversized Vehicles Must Exit", etc. You will pass the entrance ramp from Kennedy Blvd. Start looking for the Hoboken Weehawken exit, which comes on very suddenly shortly after you go past the entrance ramp. It's immediately after an overpass. (If you miss it, you will wind up in the tunnel.) There is a stop light about half way down the exit ramp. The exit ramp divides when you go past the stop light. (Some people consider this to be a fork.) When you go past the stop light get into the EXTREME right lane. (If you don't you will wind up in the tunnel.) Stay to the right until you go past the Yield sign. Get into the left lane. Make a left onto Harbor Blvd at the very next stop light. (It's a left turn only lane.) (Harbor Blvd. is immediately past the Lincoln Tunnel administration building.) Stay straight and start looking for the entrance to the parking lots. Call me if you get lost. I'll pm you my cell phone number
BTW, some of the parking spaces have time limits so avoid those.
