Can someone tell me what "float" means in the chat room?
Also, why I can't "logout".
Don't forget, I'm a newbie at some of this stuff!!!!!! :p
granny I was just there,,,are you in there,,,I just clicked on log out,,,and zoom,,,i'm out,,,you might have to shut your pc down and come back,,,I think that's what Sally did ,,,lol
someone said in my post yesterday that you can't float while logging out...I was just there and no one answered me........humf! :mad:
I'm not 100% sure what float means either and I've been here from the very beginning! I just went into the chat room and clicked on "float". (BTW, the person that's in the chat room has been there since late yesterday afternoon. My guess is that that person "forgot" to log out and is now "stuck" in chat.) When I clicked on "float", the chat room opened in a new window and I was able to use my mouse to move it from place to place on the screen. When I clicked on "float" a second time, the chat room was in its familiar fixed location. My guess is that that's the difference. Hopefully someone else will come along with a better explanation.

I finally got out--I don't like being "locked UP" :D :D ;) :p
I have only been there one time and it worked. I had to close the site to get out.

Ok Granny, you have now replaced Arlie on the top of my funny list. Just whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not get into a "float" condition at the same time as Arlie in the chatroom. This has never been done before and we fear the consequences may be catastrophic.
[SIZE=3]OK, the reason you may want to use the float is that you can fill your whole screen...Then if you go up to settings, you can also make the typing much bigger...this is helpful to those that can't see too good, like me...I got stuck in there the other night, because I forgot to unfloat...You can't get out unless you do...Hope that helps...
You can also use the bigger typing sizes without the float...[/SIZE]

Good luck with it the next time you're in chat. Now remember, if you click on
Float, you HAVE to UNCLICK Float inorder to check out. That's the key of getting out when you have clicked "Float".
