Question:
Again the nostalgia...
I may not have millions and I am not famous. But I am proudest of...
being me, and remaining true to me and only me.
Very well spoken and decades above your years KJ.
Lisa Marie,
I love your quote! :) I'm an animal lover myself.
Do you have any little ones? I currently have three rescued kitties.
Do you have any little ones? I currently have three rescued kitties.
I sure do! I have 3 kitties (2 rescues, and 1 purebred), and a Golden Retriever mix.....not to mention a bunny, guinea pig, and assorted fish. :)
I guess I have a proud moment.
A few years ago, our boss and all of his employees were treated to a Chinese food lunch. One young girl began choking. Her face actually started to turn blue. I ran up behind her and began doing the Heimlich maneuver. All the while, she was gasping for air. I couldn't believe how some of the workers around her, including the boss, just continued eating and making fun of her!! Sure enough, like in the movies, a big piece of meat flew out of her mouth!! She got so mad at everyone else for not doing anything!! And then she said, "Joe saved my life!" Wow... I mean, sometimes we can change a person's life by a simple word or action...and maybe never even know it. Here... I guess I really did save someone's life. Wow...
Blessings,
Joe
You gave me goosebumps Joe! Congrats on staying calm in the face of fear. I know that it must have been difficult to be the one to step forward. I could have used your help when I was trying to do my first Enbrel shot last week! LOL
cream rises to the top. i have a uncle that im so proud of. to me he is mr cinderella.
my grandfather was 65 and had 4 kids then died soon after leaving them very poor . soon after my dad being the oldest and could keep up she had to send the three oldes away my dad going to a cc camp at 11 to live with men well my uncle being the only one left and the baby went to live in a place called delacrox island and they wouldnt let him live in the house so he slept in the swamps in the fur cleaning shack then the war ended and my dad got him and brought him to life with him . where he went to school and got his drs degree moved to california became highly sucessful and from his charity work became citicizen of the year.ventering off into several business to become very very wealthy . so it dont matter where ya come from are how poor you are if you have the drive and desire to make somthing out of your self in this country you can.
Terrific story, JRS!!
Lisa Marie... Helping you give yourself a shot with Enbrel... I really might have fainted!! I don't know how you folks can do it.... You are so brave!!!!
JRS' story reminded me of my father-in-law. He was a janitor for Shell Oil for 33 years. But, one day he was mixing some chemicals and discovered some special additive or something. Suddenly, he was a chemical engineer. After a while of doing that, he eventually quit to form his own Construction company where... he built Shell Gas Stations!!! A janitor for 33 years..... Imagine!!!!
Imagine the possibilities that life has in store for you!!!!
Blessings,
Joe

I'm proud of my sons. With all the peer pressure and all the temptations out there in their world, they have managed to become good people. Yes, they made their mistakes along the way, we all do. But they are responsible, faithful, loving young men (21 & 27 this year). And I love them with all my heart.
Annie
I'm Proud of myself for walking away from 25 years in an abusive marriage and making a new life for myself. I have spent ten years now making good decisions that have turned my life around.

sorry i used some of your words seedoubleyou.
I am going to brag about ME. Three years ago, I didn't even know how to turn on a computer. Now I don't know what I would do without one.
You have come a long way, Fran!
:D :D :D
My feet are so bad I couldn't do it anyway. :(
When my PA was really bad, I would wake up each day, laying still in bed, knowing that the very next move I'd make to get up was going to be extremely painful... but I sat up anyway. Once I sat up in bed I knew that as soon as I put my feet on the floor, there was going to be extreme pain shooting up through them into my legs.... but I put my feet on the floor anyway. Once I got my feet on the floor, I knew that as I stood up my back would cry out in agony as would my knee... but I stood up anyway. Once I started moving around I knew that the rest of my day was going to be full of pain and agony... but I went about my day anyway. When my P was really bad on my face, and I didn't want to go outside and face the world.... I went outside and faced the world.
I guess you could say that I'm proud of not ever giving up.... and for having the inner strength to continue.
-Steve
It is so wonderful to be in a place Steve where people know what you are talking about. Congratulations to you for getting through the pain and the fear that always seems to come with the pain. Congratulations for staring a world that may not understand right in the face. Keep smiling and keep standing proud. The world may not understand but I do (and I am sure just about everyone here does). I admire your courage friend.
I'm proudest of my 2 boys. I look at them and see hope for the future.
