Happy Holidays From the Ronald Regan Penthouse Suite
Question:

Hi Everyone!
Just when you are feeling poorly and a little down- things can turn on a dime-
I am wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR -From the ST. REGIS Hotel, Los Angeles, CA.
We are in a very nice Suite, and just had the priviledge of touring the Ronald Regan Penthouse Suite. The St. Regis Hotel is closing forever on January 24th 2005 and will be turned into luxury condos. This is such a beautiful Hotel, it's almost sad that it wont be a hotel any more. While touring the Presidential Suite, I sat where President Ronald Regan once sat- and President Bill Clinton too, for that matter. It was quite luxurious and ...well, amazing. The Suite is 1450 square feet and only one bed!! lol. The bed had the drapes hanging over it and the bathroom was the size of a one bedroom apartment. Including a jacuzzi that Ill guess fits 6-8 comfortably- all in white marble and alabaster!
The color scheme is gold and yellow with gold everywhere except for in the kitchen where every appliance was stainless steel. I managed to take just a couple of pictures, which is NOT allowed under normal circumstance, as I am sure you can imagine, they dont want people to study the lay out. I guess with it closing in just one more month, they dont have any chiefs of states or the likes booked. The dining room table seats 12 comfortably and there are 3 balconies- the likes of which you can have as a resturaunt, if you would like. The furniture and the art work are all one of a kind and all you have to do is touch it to feel its luxury. Really, really beautiful. There are pictures of Nancy and Ronald in the Foyer- it all is just soo cool!
The price tag per night- a modest $10,000.00
We will be here for 2 nights and then its back to reality.
All this when I was just looking to get away for a few days.
Ill share some pics with you all when I am back.
Sending my love and well wishes
