It's cold all year round here. Lol, ok its not so bad. But it reached freezing today; plus alot of wind. Ouchy. Hoping for a white Christmas, I have never been alive for one! Atleast I cant remember one.

Answers:

According the www.weather.com, it's 17 F. degrees here right now. It says that the wind chill is 4 degrees F. I find that hard to believe, I just come home from running some errands and it feels colder then that. Also, high rise buildings are designed to move in the wind. When the wind gets really strong you can actually hear my 25 story building move with wind. (It used to freak me out.) It's been so windy for the last day or two that you can hear the building creak and groan. (You can only hear if from the inside of the building. The World Trade Center used to make similar sounds.)

Hey Mike,
We stayed in a high rise hotel in St Louis. That building was moving so much I thought I was going to get sick. I told my husband-never again would I stay in a high rise. I like to keep my feet on the ground!!! :)

Answers:

Speaking of St. Louis, being in the top of the arch on a real windy day is scary! Now that thing sways!!

Answers:

Sounds like you guys never went to the Sears Tower. Talk about moving :D

Answers:

I haven't been in the Sears Tower or the Arch. DH and kids went in the Arch, I waited on the ground. I have been in the Space Towers on San A. and Seattle. I did a lot of things with my kids that I will not do again. Heights scare me.

Granny Heights scare a lot of people. Fortunately, I'm not one of them. (Although I will admit that the sound of my apartment building moving in the wind used to freak me out.) I live and work in highrises. I've been to both the Sears Tower and the Hancock Center in Chicago and the Space Needle in Seattle and the Empire State Building and Windows on the World (the restaurant that was on the 110th floor of the World Trade Center), and the View (the revolving restaurant  on 47th floor the Marriott Marquis on Times Square) and I've gone for drinks at the Rainbow Grill (the piano bar on the 65 floor of Rockefeller Center).
