Question:
Hi everyone !!! I am very sad lately and very undecided. My last day at work is September 1st., because they gave me lay off. And I can't find a job. I was thinking to go to Argentina to visit my family for a month and then, when I'll be back, keep looking for a job. But I already order Enbrel and I am ready to start next week. I don't want to travel with the medication because I read that you have to be very careful. And it is a 12 hours flight. And you all know that I want to have a baby next year. So, I am not so sure to start Enbrel right now. I want to try it because my P is getting worse. My back is almost covered, and I have plaques in my arms and legs. I have also a light PA. I only have pain in my left feet. So, I don't know what to do first: go to Argentina, start Enbrel, find a job or start looking for a baby. I want to do everything but some things don't go together. I am depressed and full of dudes. I missed you so much. This weeks I was looking for a job so bad, so I didn't come to the boards. But I need you because all of you are very good friends for me and you are very good listening. What is your advice ?
Maria I'm sorry that you are depressed about your situation. I'm there too, just having good results with my skin, go figure. It makes no sense sometimes. I don't know what you should do, but I think it is wise to make sure you attend to your skin in some fashion. It is hard, I'm spending a lot of time on mine right now and I can't let up. Sometimes its the hard road, but I know that you will make the right decision. I wish you the best and hope your day gets brighter.

Maria,
Sorry that your feeling so sad, You're going thru a rough time but things will get better, they always do.

Hi Maria,
I would do the opposite of what the others have said. I would have the baby first. Sometimes p goes away during pregnancy. It did with me and I enjoyed a 3 year remission.
Also, you have decided to marry and have a family, that should come first. Our families are important to us but your first priority should be to your husband and then your children. After that, your other family members. Maybe they could come to see you.
Whatever you decide, I hope it works out well for you.

Maria Paula...
Take a big deep breath. Let it in.... let it out. Take another deep breath. Let it in...and...let it out. Relax. Try to find a quiet spot. No TV, no radio, no distractions. Say to yourself... okay.... what do I do next....? And then - be still. You will receive your answer loud and clear. Trust in your inner voice.
Family is extraordinarily important. And... that means your family in Argentina and your husband here in Ohio. (Your P family, too.) Your job is important too. Your health and well-being, stress-wise and how it may or may not relate to your P, is very important too.
But, know this... we all care about you. We all love you. We all will pray for whatever direction you may find yourself facing.
But...give yourself a little quiet time. You will know what you should do next.
Trust yourself.
Blessings,
Joe
Maria,
It makes my heart sad to hear you are sad.
I think a month long trip between jobs trip to Argentina would be great and likely theraputic for your p.
Think about Enbrel when you get back.... it'll keep cold in the fridge.
I also liked what Sally said.... explore some stay at home possibilities of employment... my mom does eBay and you both don't live far from each other you could go garage saleing together :D
I also agree with taking time for yourself and just "be"... in a baking soda bath or wherever...the numerous thoughts that are a burden to you now will lighten and lift.. giving way to the right decisions.

Everyone has already responded with such kindness - I just wanted to say that I'm thinking about you. I agree - please try to relax, go to your family, and take it one step at a time. Like Denise said, the Enbrel will keep. Be good to yourself. Talk soon.

Maria,
Somehow, things have always fallen into place for me. Sounds like if you can afford it, visiting your family at this time would be the perfect option. The rest will take care of itself. Take this opportunity while you have it. Once you have children, things are just that much harder to manage. Best wishes. :)

Thank you everyone for your advices. I appreciate it so much. I feel better today. I was talking with my husband and we decided that I can try Enbrel for a couple of months and if it works, have a clear pregnancy later. So... I DID IT !!!!I did my first shot of Enbrel tonight. It was so good. I am so happy about it. I'll post in P forum to tell everybody how it was.
In the other hand, I am still thinking to go to Argentina to visit my family before I'll find a job. I am still convincing my husband about it. Maybe on October. (because I already have the tickets to go to Las Vegas for a couple days, with my husband, on September).
Thank you everyone for your advice !!!
ARL:Of course I know what are you talking about it. It is a very famous song in my country.
Thanks Brad and Richard to be here. I hope you are doing better.
Sally: Are you still on line ? I sent you an email. It is a very good idea to work at home while you are pregnant, and when you are a mom. I will check about it.
Molly: Thanks. Be with my family is one of my priorities.
Karen: We chated tonight about it. Thank you for being my friend, and always listen to me.
Granny: I agree with you, but the thing is that I miss my parents, grandma, sisters and brother so much, and they can't visit me because in my country is to hard to obtain the visa. I talked to much with my husband to take the decision together.
Joe: I'll trust in my inner voice. Thanks for the advice and for pray for me.
Denise !!!! Don't worry. I am so happy today, after my first shot. It was a pitty that I couldn't see you in the messenger to tell you about it. Thank you for be an excellent friend.
Krista: Thanks for your words but it is so late. I did it !!! I couldn't resist to have Enbrel in my fridge. The same day, after my husband brough from the pharmacy, I used it.
Kim: We chatted today and you know what was my first decision.
THANK YOU EVERYONE !!! I'll keep posting to tell you about my next decision. I already called 1 888 4 Enbrel to ask how to travel with Enbrel for more than 12 hours.
