ENGAGED!!!!!!!!
Question:

Hooray! I'm gettin hitched! Yippee and go me. We are going to have a Very Small ceremony at the Mesa, AZ Justice of the Peace office on/around 2/16 or 3/16 (our dating anniversary is 9/16, I'd like to keep the date easy to remember.) It all depends on the *prenuptial* getting done in time, family, and work schedules. We plan on having a handful of very close people, and a small party at a friend's house afterwards. It's not going to be one of those over-the-top bonanza's you dream about as a little girl, but, I am an adult and I realize that to have that 20,000.00 wedding, I would have to wait 10 years and never own a house! But, since I just got hired permament at my job (after being a temp for 3 months) and got a raise to salary with/ paid vacation, and Jason is getting a cost-of-living next month, we can probably buy a house in 1-2 years if we keep the ceremony small. Oh, wow, I know I'm going on and on but I am so excited!
Ahhhhhh!

Hi Jill,
Best Wishes and Congratulations!
Small weddings work OK. You are wise to save your money for a house. We went to the minister's house with just my sister and her husband as witnesses and we have been married 45 years. We did not have time to plan a wedding as my husband was in the Air Force and we got married while he was on leave.

Chaim, you're too funny! No guests, just local family!
Kimberly, of course I'm wearing a dress! I can't go naked, now can I? I actually already have the dress. I got it at the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix. It's a white silk brocade Cheongsam, which is the dress type with a Mandarin collar, the A-symetrical fold-over on the top, and slits up the side with frog-closures. Have I lost you yet? I'll post some pics once I get it tailored.
