Question:
We need more kids around the house and the wife and daughter need a project. We have a 1 year old AKC Light Golden Retriever Male. Anyone with some advise on breeding dogs. We have the room for another female and don't really want to stud our male out. We want the litter at home. Thus need to get a female. Should we get a female puppy and let her grow up or is there a method on getting a 1 year old or older AKC female locally. Also would we expect problems leaving a male and female unfixed together as buds?
Haven't done anything yet other than start the research. Let me know if you have experience in this. Thanks.

Hi Brad....I didn't know you had a golden....we've had one for years.....three so far...this is the longest time we've gone without a golden in our house....and I miss having one around....they are such wonderful pets....especially after the the first year.....(they settle down a lot) but I don't know about raising two together either....I imagine they would be fine, together except when the female is in heat....but maybe you should talk to a breeder or vet.
this is Sage our golden that died last March......

I am thinking of getting a dog , but I don't know if I can since I had to have my lab put to sleep this summer...She was such a good dog....Never messed in the house , I trained her and she was very obedient....Never jumped on anyone , stayed off the furniture and all....She was one in a million...I had her for 10 years and it was like losing a family member...
Well, you need a bed, some Viagra (if necessary), and some porno music to get started......................................
Oops, I guess I think like everyone else on here. I can't get mind mind out of the gutter because it is the gutter. I don't know anything about dog breeding except that my cousin breeds Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes.
