I'm new to all this posting stuff, but have been dealing with P for about 15 years. I've just recently came out of "remission" if there is such a thing with this wonderful little disease. But now, IT'S BACK! It totally sucks. Just when I had gotten used to begin somewhat free of scales it's back. Don't get me wrong, I am EXTREMELY grateful for the recess, but it is so frustrating. I have tried just about everything. Even went to an old fashion "remedy" man, who told me I had kidney stones that was causing my P. I love these boards, thanks for letting, me vent.

I know P SUCKS but at least you have come to a great place where you can teach, learn, and hopefully heal Venting is ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE BOARDS! Additionally, we truely understand how you feel.

Let's see over the years, I've tried: dovonex, skin-cap, UVB, methotrexate (sp?) and crap I can't even remember. I seemed to have the most relief with some stuff called "Oxy-por" which is an OTC coal tar liquid. But it's not really helping now.
Have any new miracle cure??? hahahahaha
welcome joellen to the p family. you will meet some of the most wonderful people on here and get great advice. vent all you want. it makes you feel better.

I know what it's like to be suffering with the humiliation of this horrible disease that can sink you into the very bowels of hell.... but.... Sorry that creapy stuff came back. If that "remedy" man ever had kidney stones he'd have known you'd be in the ER and not at his office. Hope you find some answers here.

Welcome joellen,,,,,well you sure will get new experiments everyday,,,,,we all tell aech other what to try,,,,,,I just tryed soaking in the tub with baking soda,,,,,,it was great and my skin is hardly flakey at all,,,although in the spots it looks like I was burned,,,,so red,,,but i'll take it than the dryness,,,,you must moisturize very very well,,,I used the dead sea products,,,,,so far i'm very pleased,,,,,,and i'm very hard to please,,,,nothing works for me,,,,,,,,,ands while your soaking,,,,mildly rub your skin where the flakes are,,,,,THEY COME RIGHT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let me know how it worked for you....
