On Saturday one of Kentwood PDS finest and National Guardsman went off to somewhere out there...He's in a transportation company. They convoyed to the East Coast for some more training and then off to the thick of it somewhere overthere. Left behind, a wife and three children. Our PD has offered a lot of support to his family while he is away. The FOP labor union has also already paid for an provided a number of services like snowplowing for the family while dad is away. A number of us have offerred personal services to the family if they need it.

BridgetR's son Frank is a marine serving in Iraq. Sadly, he was wounded by shrapnel a couple of weeks ago. Even though he's still in a great deal of pain, he bravely returned to his unit. Here's a link: .

My uncle is in the army and he is in Afghanistan. He has a wife and three children. He hasn't been home since April. I sure hope he comes home soon! Stephanie
