and Careegiver boards are where the support, love and caring is exclusive to our shared inflection. That the way it should be and hopefully will stay.
The Conversation Boards was established was established to give an outlet to those who wanted to voice opionons about many subjects, ideas and thoughts. Weather you wanted to post midless blatter (which I sometimes do) or a serious subject this is the place. This board is about many things and politcis and religion are amoung them. One only has to ge the home page of this web site to find political reference all over the place. From capital hill day to writing your congressperson or petitioning the NIH for additional it is all about politics. It has a place here on the boards.
If my words ofend you I am sorry but it is my opinion and I will not placate my feeling and thoughts to smooth ruffeled feathers. Can't we get along was said my the person who got the crap beat out of him. I won't stand by and be beaten.

This is your home and mine but if you feel the need to leave don't grandstand and throw a tanrum like a two year old. Just leave, and don't let the door hit you in the buttocks on the way out!

Actually Mitch, today I checked out the Lehigh thread to see how far it would be for me to make pennsylvania. I really want to meet Rich in person, besides the boards, I've only talked to him once on the phone. Honestly, I think you and I would have a great debate in person and suprisingly...maybe even jokingly get along is some strange way.
I met you briefly in SD but I did not do much socially in SD because of my situation there. Anyway, debate is good. I've learned a lot from "fighting" with my derms, docs, and insurance. Believe me it wasn't pretty but it got the job done. Some would have a problem in the way I treated my doctors...."I can't believe you just said that to them....this is about supporting your health care system". Believe me I told more than one nurse bluntly to do your job and put that topical stuff on my back, for christ sakes you're an RN. Now it doesn't sound nice and supportive but if you go about your life feeling good about getting a "raw deal" because someone thinks living with 30% plaque on your back is OK? and it is ALL THEY CAN DO FOR YOU. Then I guess you'll have to be happy. I think you will know when the docs and you have done what you can. When that happens, all we can do is support you, but until then, get out there and fight. This is not new to the psoriasis boards, even when you think you've beat psoriasis, it can and most likely will come back...so be prepared and be on the offensive with it. This is just advice, but if you need help, some of us here can do the dirty work for you. "dirty work"....If you could just see the letters I've written to my derms and insurance you would then understand. This may not be for everyone but it worked for me.
Please, if you don't like it don't read it....for some of our personalitys this helps us.
Now Mitch and I got at our throats a little bit this weekend, but, I think its all for the better. I hold no personal grudge against Mitch and I feel that he does not hold one against me. People like us drive each other to get more accomplished.
Since no one wants to talk politics, watch a baseball game. The ump makes a call that is controversial but correct or close. The other coach always comes out to argue. He might not be correct or win that time but it might work on the next close call in the future. This is very true in my insurance struggle, I fought the goeckerman at u of m and lost....but, I asked for a $3,500.00 light box and the insurance didn't bat an eye. If you read the P side there are a number of people right now, Chaim for instance, that is dealing with or working on getting a light box. Maybe an argument isn't all that bad. Americans are very concientous, loving people, but we also have the freedom to speak our minds.
I'm gonna leave it at this...........Carville and Matalin. I haven't heard the word divorce there yet. Absolutely Amazing Place the USA is.
Love you Mitch dont ever feel like you cant speak your mind. You have the right to and Im glad to listen and for all of those who oppose you have the right as well but its all about respect. We all have come here at one time or another for support. Whether it be for our common condition or just support from a fellow friend on important things happening in our lives. I know that one person or another has helped me through rough times and if this isnt the place for you, like Mitch said throwing a fit will not help a thing. Quietly leave and give other the respect they gave you when you first stepped into this family.
I love you all and I hope no one has to feel like they need to make a dramatic performance to get a simple acknowledgement. Act like an adult and do the right thing. Mitch you ROCK! <3

Mitch is going to say what he want no matter if offends someone or not and he refuses to be silent..blah blah blah..., but at the end he says that if you are leaving to not say it, just do it?

If people make "threats" in the heat of the moment, don't put them down since you obviously do the same thing.
