The american public spoke. Let's not be poor sports!
It's done the election is over and now it is not time to celebrate. Iraq and the terrorism problem must be addressed. I'm not for certain that at least the terrorism issue can be dealt with in the next four years, I think it will be around for many years to come and that is unfortunate for all of us.
Additionally, many states, including mine (michigan) addressed a number of social issues including the sanctity of marriage. All of the eleven states that addressed this issue passed it, ours is a consititutional ammendment.
The people of this nation and my state have spoken with their vote. I pray that this country does the right thing. It is not all about the presidency it is how we behave and interact on a daily basis.
Please consider the jobs that the newly elected have to address now. I don't care who's in the white house, if this country gets attacked again, the president will probably have the worst job anyone could imagine having.

While I am glad that Bush has won, I think we need to work on our voting system. We need some stricter rules and a better system. There should be no need for people to wait in line for hours to vote.

Granny, according to the police computers, there were some votes for grannys fanny, however, they were on provisional ballots.
A few more votes and you would have qualified for secret service protection.
Its over, YEAAAAA!!!
Now, I am praying that Americans can unite and work at becoming one nation again. I am pretty much an optimist and I think that the majority of the people would like to work together instead of continuing to hurt anyone that may not have the same opinion they do.

I agree with you Heidiann, we all should be working together to make the USA a better country. But after reading this post, I don't see that happening.

There is no such thing as a sore looser when fundamental personal beliefs are at hand.
I did no bashing, nor do I intend to.
This is my Country too, and while I appreciate whomevers faith in our now 2nd term President, I trust you have some fundamental beliefs that allow you that.
I have no mud slinging intentions in my heart. I have no bashing of any party or any belief in my heart.
I am dumbfounded, I am perplexed and I am worried.
Call these things what you will- but know that these feelings exist.
At least to this Member.
That is as much fact as is real to me right now.
Take that for what it is worth.
I celebrate your happiness though I dont share it.

Politics are a dangerous conversation forum.
I accept what others believe. I encourage free thought, freedom of speech and a level playing field.
I am an American. I work hard. I pray to my own God and I suffer when I see people suffer.
America as it is today on November 3rd, 2004 is the America I live in.
It is the America we all have shaped into what it is. My hope is that the Essential Liberties we have will remain as such.
It is my hope that in time I will come to discover a hope that I can not now find.
It is my hope that the interests of the people of this Country- whatever class will find a job to go to every day. Food for themselves and their family and healthcare that they need.
I have prayed for these thngs all my life and will continue to do so.
Under the guidance of any leader, I will hold the belief that this Country is great and will do great things.
Its how I live my life.
Everyday is a new day.
Everyday is an opportunity to heal.
Everyday is a blessing.
Today, I will work very hard to remember that.
This Country is divided right now. That is what makes America what it is.
That is what keeps the drive, the debates and the driving force twords better days.

Heres why I voted for Bush. 1. Security and Military (9/11/01) need I say more. 2. Family Values...and this includes Abortion, Gay-Rights, public education, supreme court. 3. Fair Taxation, less loopholes. 4. No funny business in the White House....you know everybody thinks Clintons little tryst with Monica was nothing, but I really took offense to it. In my opinion he lied, mistreated the girl, and dishonored his position as the most powerful man in the world. You know, the president needs to be an example...I just don't see where Kerry's past history would make him a "good example" for our country. The guy tossed his medals. How many of you are veterans? If you are a veteran of the US armed forces and are not proud of your country and your service to it PLEASE POST IT HERE.
