Collect Questions

I’m just curious.
For those of you who frequent the chat room, when you are leaving and say goodbye, do you wait around until others say goodbye to you or do you just leave?


I wait for a couple of goodbyes.


I try to say goodbye and/or reverse the curse when leaving.
Am I suppose to wait for others to say goodbye because sometimes I don't, especially when there are 857825 people in the room. Maybe I'm not using chatroom ettiquite?
Every now and then my computer just tosses me off for no reason leaving my name in the room....who doesn' t talk...EEk

I kind of do it the oposite. I wait to see how many don't say goodbye to me so I can hold a grudge for all eternity.

I usually say goodbye, then keep talking... then say "okay ive really gotta go"... then keep talking... then finally i decide to leave... and then i say gbye... wiat for at least one person to answer, and then leave!


I usually wait for a minute or two.

They tell me goodbye before I tell them I'm leaving. I have been banned to the boards.
I will be attending the chat room ettiquette class in San Diego on Saturday morning. Hopefully I will be allowed back in after I graduate. If I don't pass, I will change my name from misales to pete rose.


I am not in the chats alot, but I wait for a minute or two.
Unless my boss come into the room!!! LOL


My friend Ginger (Flannel) says bye and disappears like a flash!!!! I'm always amazed at how fast she leaves. It's got to be easier than sitting aroung wondering how many goodbyes you should get before you leave.
Ever notice how vunerable you feel when you say goodbye and no one responds??? LOL

I usually give people about 10 seconds out of curtesy ...
and It's not a matter of waiting for everyone to say bye.... it's actually a good idea to give people a few seconds to yell " WAIT!!!!!!!!! " in case they needed to ask you one last question before you leave.
when I say "bye all" that's my notice that if you want to get a last word in... you've only got a few seconds left...


i always wait alitte to make sure they know im leave and if they have one more ? to.

I'm not very good with a computer, still learning. I do not know anything about using the chat room. Would someone please tell me in language a self taught person can follow? Also, is there any way to check spelling before you post a message?

Hi Granny,
Don't worry about spelling in the chat room, I teach and I'm the world's worst speller!
You can get in by accessing the tool bar above us that says " community " it will pull down a menu and chat is the last item on the list, click on that and you will go in. It takes a few seconds to load and your in! Once your in at the bottom of the screen you will see a place to type then hit send ( or enter ).
Everyone was new at it once so no worries, you'll do fine!! Hope to " see " you in there.

I still can't get on the boards....never been there.
Every time I try my system crashes0 Ithink it may be a Mac problem.


I say bye 3 or 4 times just to get attention.
even if I have no intention of leaving. :D
