Do many of you use the chat rooms to get answers to questions and support?

Yes for sure to both questions.
If someone doesn't know an answer to your question then you will be pointed in the right direction as to where to get an answer. Such as who to PM etc. It's good for getting idea's on pain management, exercise, shampoo's, topicals etc. What works for me kind of thing. ( and of course always check with your dr )
It's something like the boards here, only in real-time.
Conversations can get off topic and that helps with stress. And we all know what stress can do with P/PA. For instance we will talk baseball ( Yankees vs Sox ;) ) upcoming gatherings, current events. It's great for a lot of laughs.
As far as support, it just couldn't be better. I have met a lot of people thru chat which led me to gatherings in the NY/NJ/CT area. I am so lucky to call them my friends. That includes those that I haven't met yet but hope to soon.
Today I had a phone call from the other side of the country just to make sure I was alright as I am coming out of a flare, it doesn't get much better than that!
Hope that you will join us in chat soon! It's a very welcoming place and a great compliment to the boards.

This is the only board I participate on, do you belong to the Yahoo group and do you find it helpful? Do they have chat too?
A flare ( with arthritis ) is when your joints swell and hurt. It can happen even if your under treatment for PA. Some people experience fevers along with their flares, luckily, I don't.
And I hope that you know flakeymatt IS KIDDING....:o
