Hi.....I see that a new member got an answer on how to get into chat......now I need one on how to change my avatar without getting this message....

talk about frustrating!!! I have tried to get an answer but no one answers me!
When I try to change avatars by going to EDIT OPTIONS....I get the above message!
which means I then get the same message if I even want to post.... I discovered on my own that if I go back to INTERNET EXPLORER properties and delete "cookies" that I can post....but still can't change my avatar????????
now what there must be something I can do? HELP!?

I sent Eric the message several times also to the administrator...I got a message from Eve Maridy-Rice and she said to call Eric....
this has been going on for months and each time I try something and it doesn't work I have to practically reboot:mad:


still no word from our web master....

I got it !!!
If you get that message , enten your username , password and go ahead .
You need to log in - so you don't get that message.
Then:
Go to 'user cp'
click on 'edit options'
bottom page , click on 'change avatar'
next page , check box for avatar 'YES'
bottom page "browse' to choose one of you files ....
then , click on 'submit modifications'
Ps ..Your picture need to be size 50 x 50 pixels
which is very small .
You will need to resize it if it's the case , or , get one very little.
It took me awhile to resize my new avatar ....

thanks Vini!...............I've done all that and when I do I get the box that tells me I'm not logged on. over and over and over.....then I have to log off go to Internet Explorer and remove cookies before it will work again....so frustrating ....this has been going on for months I think My mail to Eric is getting put in his spam mail or something ....that's why I thought I would try the message board....so far no luck!!!!

Have you tried REMOVING your existing avatar first (click NO where it asks, USE AVATAR?, then submit the changes), then doing the log out -cookie removal thing, then logging back in and inserting your new avatar?
The thing that has not been working for me since I've added an avatar is the URL thing. I've tried the option that supposedly attaches a URL, such as a personal web site, to your avatar. I keep getting, THAT IS AN INVALID GIF OR JPG (or something to that effect) messages.


I spent several hours trying that.....darn and darnation!!!!!!

okay, first I'll need some information. Basically, if I can duplicate the problem, then I can fix it.
1. what kind of computer are you using? (mac, pc)
2. what operating system are you using? (windows 95, 98, xp, etc)
3. what is your ISP (AOL, comcast, verizon, etc...) ?
4. what browser do you use? (internet explorer
5. what browser version do you use?
I'll try and get you going... but for now you can also email me your new avatar and I'll change it for you. I know that's not a good solution, but I don't want you to go crazy while we figure this out. :)
or just attach the avatar to this thread and I'll change it that way.
