Question:
Anyone like to read mysteries? Thought I'd start a "good book" thread for those who like to read....my preference as you can see, is mysteries.....
Just finished Fatal Tide just out in paperback...(easy to read in hot tub or bathtub) by Iris Johansen.....if you like dolphins you'll enjoy this book....she always manages to get in some favorite animals...past books have been golden retrievers.......
I don't know why no one has posted here. It is interesting to know what people like to read.
I like historical novels about the Civil War and old Western Days. I also read a lot of medical stuff.

I have a long list of authors I enjoy:
Dan Brown
Nicholas Sparks
Anita Shrieve
Barbara Kingsolver
Alice McDermott
Isabel Allende
Pete Hamill
Denis Hamil
Frank McCourt
Jodi Picoult
and that's just the tip of the iceberg

chuck palahniuk being one of the top :)
My favorite for mysteries is James Patterson. He wrote the books "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider" which were made into movies with Morgan Freeman. My favorite of his books, though, is "Cradle and All". It is such a good read. Goes something like this, Former nun turned P.I. is recruited by the Catholic Church to investigate two immaculate conceptions. It sounds weird but it really is great.
Another good one is Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Mists of Avalon" and the prequels and sequels. Story of King Arthur and England's mythical history from the point of view of the women.
And, of course, Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"! No collection is complete without this series.

I don't know, I really liked "Restaraunt at the End of the Universe". Good title, Great book. The series got really weird the longer it went on! :D

I lost interest in the series too. I think there is a movie in the works?
