Question:
I know this is probably a stupid question, but how does one go about getting in the chat room? I don't know if it's my computer or not but I can't see a place to get in.

If you are a member (it will not work if you're a friend) you can put your mouse on the button at the top of the page that says "Community"... then a drop-down menu will come down...and you click on "Member Chat"... once you've done that, just let it load and ur on ur way!

Do you see the line in the upper left hand corner that shows you how many people are in chat? Just click onto that and you're in.
You may have to become a member of the NPF in order to access chat. You can become a member of the NPF by contributing any amount.

When I go to the community drop and click on Member Chat it brings me to a page that shows transcripts of chats from years gone by.

Make sure that you are properly signed in, and that you are POSITIVE that you are a member (and not a friend) and then try what i said! Otherwise, maybe do the "live"thing with Denise!

Hi Terri,
There's been a couple of compaints about people not being able to get into chat. The link for the chat room is towards the upper left hand corner, right under the purple "home" button. It has a number and the words People in Chat - Refresh List. It's also underlined as shown. It's in this reddish-orange color. Click on that and it should take you into the chat room. If you still can't get into chat, then either call the NPF or send Eric the webmaster either a PM or an e-mail. He might be able to help you. One more thing, you might be blocked from chat if your trying to get in from work.

Hi Terry,
There's no such thing as a stupid question! That's what this place is all about. :) You can send him a private message or PM. Here's a link to a thread that he responded to: . (His reponse is about five or six posts down.) Click on the purple "PM" icon at the bottom of his response and you'll send him a private message. He's usually pretty good about responding, but send him another one if you don't hear back from him within a day or two. (Especially since he might be on vacation.)

Do you know how to Private Message?
You go to the place you would normally go to get to the boards... The place where you see the list of the different boards (Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Parents, Teens, Conversations)... and at the bottom it should say something like "Private Messages"... click on that!
You will then get to a page with a list of your private messages... At the bottom there should be a button that says: New Message... click on that!
Then... on that page... you type "webmaster" in the box where it says "Recipient"... and then you type a subject, a message, and press send!!
Does this make any sense?!

or use this link to go directory there...
If you've just become a member, you may want to log out and then log in again on the psoriasis home-page. Sometimes it thinks you're still a registered friend until you do this.
