Question:
I had my monthly doc appt yesterday.. So far so good. Only a little has come back which I am still happy. I am still much improved since I started this study. Anyway on to the reason I started this thread.. When I got home last night I was checking my anwsering machine and looking at the mail at the same time. When I heard that it was some one from the Post Dispatch wanting to talk to me about the study group forming here and about the new biologics that are coming out and being more available to us. It about bowled me over. I definately had to sit down. For me I am usualy one to sit in the backround and let others take the spot light. Then I realized that this would be a great thing. It will allow me to get the word out about what progress they are making in the medical community and it will spread the word more effectively than I have ever imagined . I am so excited and have many many butterflies dancing in my stomach. After I talk to her I will let you know how it all goes.

THATS GREAT. I WAS JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT MYSELF (HAVE TO FIND OUT HOW FIRST) TO FIND OUT WAS IS AVAILABLE STUDIES ETC. THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE IN THE PITSSBURGH AREA. I CONTACTED A SUPPORT GROUP WHOSE NAME WAS ON THE NPF. WHEN I CALLED HER SHE SAID SHE ONLY HAD ABOUT 5-7 PEOPLE AT THE MOST THAT COME. I REALLY DON'T THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE KNOW WHAT IS OUT THERE. OR THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GO TO DERMS, FOR WHAT EVER REASON NO INSURANCE ETC.... HOPE THIS ALL WORKS OUT FOR YOU YOU MAY BE A GOOD SOURCE OF INFO

through my sleep fogged brain this mornig I recieved a call. It was the call from the reporter I was waiting from. It appears that all they wanted was permission to have my name, number and email adress in the paper. Nothing more. Utterly depressing. She said that she would call me when the article came out. I did mention the date of the group though and found out that she is a fellow sufferer like we are so that eased the disappointment some.
