Two of my own. They are slide shows, which hopefully will work with your browser. (They work with IE6 and the Mozilla platform.) One is from 2001 and the other is from 2002. I took the photos from my apartment window which has a partial view of the NYC fireworks.
The last photo in the 2001 set was taken years ago from the apartment where I grew up. The 2002 photos are better, I think. They were all taken handheld w/o a tripod, through a closed window to not upset the cats with the noise.

Last year was a bust. It was hazy, and there was too much smoke in the air to get clear shots from where I am. The fireworks are on barges in the East River, and one is usually due north of me, although the buildings are in the way. But I can get shots which go way up. They won't let people up on the roofs regretfully.
