Question:
i know robin since 7 grade. we started dating in 82. we started saving for are future together. then 3 years ago she started to work for her uncle. he was trying to buy the busness that he worked for. to help keep things going he ask robin if he conld barrow some money. she ask me if he conld and i said yes. before i new it are savings was gone. now the busnes is gone with are savings. we just started being able to go on vac. this is what helped kill my why to sd or any were eles. we had things giving to us and taking. but that is life i guess. there are people who have it alot worst then me and i wish i conld help them.
i know im blessed with the people who are around me and will do what i can to help those who need it if i can. life is life and it gose on. we have a roof over are head that leaks but we have one. we can walk and talk and type some times. im so greatful for what i have. i hope you can under stand all this. i have to tell you this so you can under stand me.
i love being able to be around you all.

Life is never static. There will always be hills and mountains and things to uplift you and you'll be filled with wonder and awe and unbelievable happiness... and then there are those times when you will feel horrible, disappointed and sorrowful. Your spirit will take you off from that mountaintop or that hill and you will start to experience the valley... the depth of the pits. And just when you think that your whole world is crumbling and that there is no more hope for you...you will start your ascend again to the hill and then to the mountaintop.... And it could begin with what you feel now... gratefulness! You have a roof... others may not. Yours may leak a little... but there are more dry spots than there are wet ones.
Life is never on a flat line.... When you flat line.... you die.
What you will gain, what we will all gain, from our experiences in the valley...the depth... the pit... the hole.... will make us wiser, more appreciative, and better persons.
When you get so low, though.... hopefully, one of us, on our hill or mountaintop, will reach our hand down to help you up. And, you're a good guy, Rich. I'd know you'd do the same for us!

when life gets suckie for me I try to remember the "Four Agreements" (I keep them posted on the fridge too):
1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don’t Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

I too really enjoy "talking" to you. Your right sometimes it seems like nothing goes right in our lives, but we have it way better than a lot of other people. We have a roof over our heads, food (well it may only be mac and cheese and hotdogs but it's food) and we have our families who love us. And we have great friends here, granted their all a little flaky :D but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
They (whoever "they" are) say all the hard knocks are suppose to make us stronger...I really believe that. Sometimes I wonder though, there are days I just want to scream, Enough Already. But it all happens for a reason, we just don't know what that reason is.
Just take it day by day and if it's get to be too much try hour by hour......Hang in There!!!

first of all i would like to say how awesome of a guy you are! I have really enjoyed the e-mails that we have sent back and forth, and i have really enjoyed getting to know you... you are an amazing man---> and quite often you are too hard on yourself!!!
second of all- I have had some really troubled times in my life already... serious troubles--- and im not even as old as you yet!!! but i have learned (mainly from the amazing people on these boards) that when times get tough you need to keep your head held high and carry on, because there are brighter things in the future! even though it may not seem like it, (and many times i have gotten down because i dont think so),,, there are definately brighter days in the future!!!!

this was the frist time in my life to do any thing like this. i loved the email we sent to each other. it was neat see how canada is diffrent then the us. you are a very smart teenager. yes i can be hard on my self. if it was not for people like you i wonld have not found all the great people on here. there are to many for me to put all there names here.
