Question:
Hey everyone! I know I have been a little nonexistent for a little while, but I just wanted to check in and let you know I'm thinking of all of you! It's "that" time of the year right now and I am SWAMPED with work! This past week I've had 3 exams and 2 papers, and that's not even the end of it! Atleast it's my Senior year right?? It's funny...college has flown by, but this year is really creeping along.
Anyway, about my faraway soldier :) He's doing well! His camp was attacked this past week! :eek: He said he'd never been so scared in his entire life!!! Some really disgusting and horrific things happened but I won't go into that here. I'm just glad he is ok. Keep praying everyone!! PLEASE!!! Looks like he won't be home until March...so so much for the happy homecoming for the holidays. :(
As for the P, it's getting colder here and my P is getting more red and ANNOYING!!! I'm off MTX. It made me soooo sick! So, I'm waiting until I can get to the derm again. I've called and called and called to try to tell my derm I can't take the MTX anymore b/c it makes me so sick, but nobody ever calls me back. :( I guess I have to kill someone to get some attention. Well, my next appt. is Nov. 3rd, so hopefully I can hang in there until then. It's getting worse everyday. It hurts and I scratch like there's no tomorrow, but I've not given up hope yet.
I just wanted to drop in and let all of you know I haven't forgotten about all of you and I still think of ya'll all the time! I swear I'm going to find some time to get on here and chat more often!!! In the meantime, my best goes out to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine switched from the pill to the injectible MTX. She said it did not make her sick.

Hi Renae,
I am sorry you are so ill with the MTX. I assume you are on the pills? I have been taking it for years and got off several times for various reasons. Your ps will come back with a rebound if you don't taper off gradually. Mine always came back even if I did taper off but not as quickly.
I have just had a terrible time with it being nauseous so I opted for the injections. I have taken them for about 5 weeks now and am tolerating it much better. Of course I take folic acid but it never helped me with nausea.

Hi Ren.......don't forget the baking soda baths and what I've been doing is mixing desitin or zinc oxide with vasoline...(first zinc on skin then vasoline over that and it smears and spreads easier....right after bath......wear old jammies cause its messy but it cuts the inflamation a lot :p

Hey Renae, I missed you on here and have been wondering how you've been hope. Hope things get better for you. Seems like we're all going through flares with the weather changing.
Will continue to pray for Matt and ALL our "far away soldiers". I think of you every time I hear Shedaisy sing "Come Home Soon". LOVE that song (but it makes me cry!).

Hi Ranea. Glad to see your back if only for a little while. Of course we will continue to pray for a safe and quick return for Mat and all the soldiers in harms way.
We do understand that taking time to do school work is imorpant on you quest to maintain your 4.0 average but a little R&R is always in order. I am glad that you have posted so we don't have to worry.
