Question:
I just wanted to announce the passing of my canine child Isadora (Izzy) yesterday morning. She had cancer. She taught me how to live with a disease graciously and to be proud of my spots. I miss her so much! I am expecting a stree-related flare-up of my P but, gosh-darn it..... how can I not be stressed?
Anyway, if you guys could say a little prayer for the soul of my Dalmatian, Izzy, I sure would appreciate it!
Thank you, everyone, for being here.
Jeff
sorry to hear of her passing. i will say a pray.
So sorry for you grief. I have been there before and it is so very hard to cope. Hang toug he is at peace.
If we only treated our family members the same way we treat our beloved pets we would have a better world.
Take care =and may Izzy rest in peasce.
Mitch
1 Attachment(s) Jeff,
I finally had to do make that same decision with my 17 year old cat (also black and white) on Wednesday, so I understand your pain. Although her suffering wasn't as obvious (she had hyperthyroidism), I know she is no longer suffering, and was left with some dignity. It was a difficult decision to take into my hands rather than leave it to nature, but I think we both knew it was time.
The happy side of this is that our newest cat, who has been chased by the reigning monarch for over a year now, is really coming out of her shell. She now thinks she has been made queen. The other 2 may have a thing or 2 to say about that, but they are males, so I think they accept her better.
As Mitch says, we tend to treat our pets more humanely than people. Our special animal friends will remain in our hearts even longer than they were in our lives.
Kim
very sad.
Jeff I like what you said about the 'spots'.
RIP Izzy dear

Me too Jeff, I sure know the grief you are going through; they become one of the family. At least Izzy won't have to suffer any longer.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
(((((HUGS))))) for you. I know how difficult your loss is, and I'm praying for you....
I am so sorry!
My 10 yr. old lab is not well either...She has been blind 2 years and now she is getting so forgetful, she has been getting lost...
She hardly has the stregnth anymore to get back up our deck steps after going out...
They are a big part of our families and it is sad to lose them!
I totally feel for you- I lost my puppy/baby Bailey last year
she was 15 years old. I still miss her every day- I am crying as I write this!!!
Most people dont understand that the loss of a pet is like losing a family member and you grieve over this loss. I just take comfort in knowing she was loved and is no longer in pain. But she can never be replaced.
My best wishes to you.
