Question:
For any of you who were fortunate to have the day off . . . . the beach was the place to be!!!! It was over 90 in Jersey today.
I took my high schooler out of school early and headed to Belmar. We got there at 11:00 and the place was as packed as a Saturday in mid summer. It was amazing to see all the young people displaying their belly button rings, tattoos and here I am holding my palms up to the sun w/ my P-tattoos.
Anyone else have a positive experience weatherwise today?

Today was awesome, I rode the lawn mower around all afternoon (smothered in water and oil).............3 mints in one.......I got sun, I got exercise and I got my lawn mowed!! :)

I had to work all day indoors:mad: But I did take a half-hour to sit in the sun. I sure wish i could go to the beach soon. I live up north and east and finally we got a hot spell and I love it.
I spent part of the afternoon in my new pool!!! It's not inground but nice anyway....I just floated like a kid of my raft!!!

glad you peeps enjoyed it. i dove off my diving board twice today in this 90 degree heat. my son mowed the lawn . . . .usually my job but he's 14 and with my hands and feet . . . well, you get the picture. it's 9:30 and hubby and i just finished dinner [salad w/ grilled chicky]. summer is the shiznit!!!!
You guys are lucky, I worked all day. In a factory no less with no air conditioning and I swear it was like 110 degrees in there. WORK SUCKS!!!
hey! who cares if its inground...it's wet and thats what makes sunbathing easier to do.....don't you just love it?
hope i get to go out tomorrow...its supposed to rain ugh!

Congratulations on your new pool Deb!! Now you can get sun AND exercise. Is the pool round??? If so, the BEST is making a whirl pool, it gets the pool clean and it is a great leg workout.
Pool tip: If you have an above ground pool, put a drain in the bottom center, so that when you make a whirlpool all the "debris" gets sucked down the middle drain and you never have to vaccum!!!!.......................God knows we do enough vaccuming in our homes. :)
