Question:
I have never seen somebody with P in my whole life. I am the only one in my family, and I don't have friends with P that I know. But today, I saw two women with P in different places. One was so nice with me but the other one was so mean. The first one was a parent who drop off a kid from my daycare. I noticed that she had P because she have in her arms the same plaques that I have. She is not a member of NPF but I have her phone number and I am gonna tell her about this site. The other woman was waiting the train like me, but she had an attitude when I asked her if she has P. I noticed that because I saw her scalp-face. She said yes and walk away. Do you ever have an experience like that ?
I'm always on the recieving end of the questions and comments. I have yet to see another person with P. And Trust me I look for them. People are always walking up to me and saying their uncle had it, their cousin has it, their neighbor's stepson's second cousin twice removed only related by marriage had it. I've had people come up to me, ask what it is, then stand there and argue with me, IT can't be that cause you can only get that on your elbows...I swear one of these days I'm going to drop my pants and moon them just to prove you CAN get it other places. Or I'll give them a big bear hug then say your right it's not P it's a rare skin disease that's highly contagious. My word against their's who hugged who first. I still think I'm the only one in SW Ohio with it. Even going to the derm I didn't see anyone with P in the waiting room.
Hmmmmm maybe I am the only one with it, maybe all these people who visit this site are really only one person and their just messing with me.....hmmmm scary......OK P people of SW Ohio come out, come out, whereever you are............
I have only known one other person besides myself (not counting my mom) who had P..She came in a tanning salon I used to work at...Considering there are about 2 or 3 per 100 people we are not too likely to meet anyone with it...I think we might have a better chance of being struck by lighting!!! LOL!!! ;)
I have met a few people that have psoriasis!! I just come out and ask them and one person did get upset but when I started talking to her and telling her that I had it too she was nicer. I think most people might be defensive about it and I can understand that because we all know the reactions we have received from people for having this disease. Maybe she was having a bad day. I know I keep my p hid very well. Maybe that is what several people do and that is why we don't see it!!

Hi
I saw only one person at the gym...
It was a guy with big patches of P , in the knee, calf and elbow.
And He was wearing shorts!!!! Totally confident. With no
embarassment.
I admired that ... But I was shy to come and talk ...
I couldn't show off any P .
I wear long sleeves.
Only when I'm clear , I don't mind ....
I think , it depends on how we approach or how we say.
Better if we say we have P first , without mentioning theirs!
I think it's great to find somebody .
Good excuse to have a new friend...
Thanks for the thread....
