MTX for P/PA

Have been reading the messages for a while but my first time to post. Just rtnd from a visit with my rheumatologist, and she upped my MTX to 10mg per week. Have only been on it for 2 months, since I was dxd w/ PA, and my P has almost disappeared. Have had P for 45 yrs and the only other time I was clear was when I was pregnant.
Have noticed lately that I do get nauseated for a couple of days after taking MTX...I also take it on Friday so I can make it through the work week. Also, I get tired more often than I did. Y'all have put some very good information out, and I for one appreciate it; especially since the PA is relatively new to me. I thought the aches and pains I was having was just do to getting older!
Keep up the good work! And many txs to the NPF for all the good work you do!
CALONG Welcome to the P family This is a great place to leanr, teach, vent and hopefully heal. Most importantly we can all relate to what you are going thru.
Are you tkaing any Folic acid to help with nausea?

MTX nerver worked for me. I had no problems or side effects but it didn't work at all. Now between treatments and flairing like crazy. Hope all go weel for you. Come back here often

Welcome to the boards, Calong. Glad to hear the mtx is helping your p. Hope you get that nausea under control soon... aside from the folic acid - there are other anti-nausea meds available. You may want to inquire with your doc if it does not subside. Hope you see some results with the PA soon.
