Question:
OK, I'm about to pour my heart out here..................
Some of you know that I have Leukemia. Well, I have to have a bone marrow biopsy every three months to make sure I'm still in remission. I had my biopsy a week ago on Wednesday. I won't have the kryogenics report until this Friday. ALWAYS in the past, My Oncologist office has called the day after the biopsy and said it looked good, but we had to wait for the kryogenics report. This time there was no phone call. I haven't felt well and I'm terrified!
If I have relapsed, I'll be admitted to Fred Huchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and start preparing for a bone marrow transplant. My sister is my donor. She lives in the Chicago suburbs. Her Daughter is getting married May 15th and My sister would need to be here having stem cells harvested. I have never , through all my treatment and recovery said "What If" but I can't help it. I'm scared and I'm worrying myself sick. I'm home alone this week and I've never known such stress. You guys say we are a family. I really need your prayers right now, guys.

i say my prayers for everyone that belongs to this organization and i will say them for you. you are going to have to try and stop worrying so much and stressing yourself out that will only make things worse. you are going to have to try and be stronger and pray for the lord's strength and remember we can not change the path that the good lord has provided for each and everyone of us. we can only try to understand why he has put all of us in the situation's that we all are in. Maybe with the holidays & all, things got delayed. Palm Sunday was last Sunday & the first night of Passover was Monday. Hopefully, that's why you didn't get a call right away.
Hang in there, Margaret...we are all thinking of you, and sending well-wishes your way. Stressing and worrying won't change anything, so try to distract yourself. No matter what, you are near one of the best hospitals in the country, and will get good care. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm only a few hours away, and I will be in the Puget Sound or Hoodsport area the weekend of the 17th and 18th. Keep us posted, and think positive. If you want someone to talk to, let me know, and I will pm you my phone #, or you can send me yours.

I agree with Kim. Try to distract yourself. Go see a funny movie, or go shopping for a new pair of shoes?

I KNOW what you must be going through at this moment with worry & fear; however, know this, that you can worry till the cows come home and it won't change anything except make your "P" flair up & then you'll have more things to worry about.

When I wrote that post last night I was feeling alone and lonely.
I logged on this morning and was amazed at the support I found. Thank all of you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. I know for a fact that Prayer works or I wouldn't be here even now.
Please keep them coming. Warm hugs to all of you, and heartfelt thanks. I'll let you know what the kryogenics report tells as soon as I get it.

Hi Lottie!
I know this is late Thurs afternoon when I am writing this but maybe after the long weekend.........and I know it sounds like such a long time in your case but maybe you could give your Oncologist office a call and tell them how they reported to you in the past and that this time since you haven't heard anything that you are terribly worried. I used to work in a hospital lab not too long ago and we really are just human so someone could have just overlooked calling you or something needs a repeat.
I will pray and hope you feel all my good thoughts and energy for you to be well. I am so pleased to hear that you have your sister as a bonemarrow donor. Regardless of the wedding issues I'm sure you realize that your health is more important!
OK be well and do something that makes you feel better.

Just wanted to let you know I'll keep you in my prayers. I don't know if you received any news yet, but I'm hoping the missing phone call is just an oversite. I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be on or going on vacation lately. I work in a CPA firm & we keep getting calls from clients making arrangements around their vacations. I can't believe the number of people going away! Is it possible your doctor went away?
At any rate...try not to worry about something that hasn't happened yet...it's just a waste of your time.
