As a teller, I can tell you that your bank never sees your checks when it clears. Nor do they care if it was deposited into the person's or business's account it was intended to.
There are too many checks that clear and banks have gotten to big to give that kind of service. The best thing to do is to keep an eye on your account and if you suspect fraud, to file a police report and contact your financial instution immediatly.

Thanks- i forwarded the info to all my friends & family.
Iwas a victim of Identity Theft and let me tell you it took almost a year to straighten out my case.
The guy was caught and prosecuted by the credit card company-
but he made my life a living hell- not to mention what he did to my credit rating. I finally have it sorted out- now I am soooooo careful with my info.
My credit rating is perfect again!

Thanks Sally...I printed it out...It is a good thing to shred all your papers with your name on it etc...crosscut is the best shredder...
