i am from chicago, that's but a couple of hours from madison

Yes, it is the state capitol. It has also been nominated as one of the Five Best Places to Live and Work by Employment Review. Raleigh, NC is number 1, and Madison, Wisconsin is number 2.
Employment Review
When I posted that, I was unemployed and seriously considering moving out of Connecticut, since the employment situation was so bad here.
I wanted to get the opinion of someone who actually lived in that city before I made my move out there.
Currently, I am working in Connecticut. However, it is a temporary (4 months) position and will be ending in September of this year. So the option of moving to Madison, Wisconsin is still being considered. Raleigh, NC is also being considered as well as Fort Collins, Colorado.
I'm from Fairbanks........
COLORADO....love that state...it has everything....great for sking ...if your into that....beautiful scenery, snow, warm summers, mountain streams, lakes.....;) the other two places are high in humidity......
don't know about the wages but I told my DH before P ....its the only state that would tempt me to move....I'm very embedded into where I am....
but Florida sounds nice in the winter...............
