Hey everyone! :D
I just saw the CUTEST pic of flatstanley's Dog (in the kitty thread) and thought it would be fun to start a thread, just for the dogs. PLEASE REPOST THE PIC HERE, DENISE!
I'd also like to see a picture of Dan & Gina's dog, Duncan, wouldn't you? :) And I'm sure khorath has a few dog photos to share. So ALL of you with dogs, please share them with us!
Haze? I hope you don't mind me being a "copycat". Since I don't have a real dog, I've decided to start this thread with a pic of the greatest "Doggie" I know. ;)
1 Attachment(s) Here's a picture of PJ's dog. He 's BIG, and one of the sweetest dogs I've EVER known!
Sebastian likes me, so when I go over to PJ's house, the first thing she does is throw me a "slurp towel" to put in my lap!
Awwwwwww :p
1 Attachment(s) Oh, I can't resist. Here is a picture of my and my hubby's new lab, Bernie. He's a career-changed guide dog, and the best dog a person could have. He'll be two at the end of this month!
He's a sweetie!

Eve,
How do you go about acquiring one of those "career changed" dogs? And does the beach come with it? LOL
He is so beautiful.
Hi Annie!
Since one of the Guide Dogs of America campuses is in Boring, Oregon (just a few miles outside of Portland), it's easier to adopt a career-changed guide dog here.
The process involves meeting with an adoption counselor, having them check out your house for safety, and there is a fee (somewhere between $500 - $800 per dog).
In my case, I lucked out. One of the ladies in our office is a guide dog raiser. She had first dibs on Bernie when he was career-changed, and she knew how much I loved him, so she offered him to me. This way, I avoided paying the fee.
They are GREAT dogs! I highly encourage adopting one if you can.
~Eve-Maridy
Thanks Barbara :D
Here's Jeff!: (Beagle!)
(...he was running around and I said, "Jeff please sit so I can take your picture" and as soon as he heard "sit" he sat for this pose! It was priceless!)
Got to post one on my psoriasis licking Patches. A resuce from the Bergen County Pound. Our hose would not be the same without him. It would be cleaner, neater, I could sit where I want but I wouldn't change anything. He is a member of the family. Picture to come soon.
PS lets not polute this thread with cat pictures.
I've got a couple of good pictures I'll post later on tonight when I'm at home. No pictures here at work, but I've got a beautiful Viszla and a cute Beagle. Pictures forthcoming....
Denise, thought you would like to see this little playmate for Jeff (in the spring flowers!!! :) ). He needs a friend......................
