Question:
Well, I’m certainly blessed! I can’t believe the new friends I’ve made here who I can relate to. I’ve told Dan about the message board. He’s happy that I’ve made new friends but has warned me not to “share everything”. LOL, I can’t help it though! Well, of course there are certain things that I shouldn’t mention (wink, wink) but I’m so excited and can’t keep it all inside, right?! We agreed that we would like to become part of this online family and would love to share memories and such with you all. I’ve even convinced him to join the message board. We agreed that it would be best if he had his own screen name so that no one got the two of us confused. (If you see an occasional message from him or a new thread pop up from dantheman, you’ll know he’s lurking around.) He doesn’t seem as eager about this as I am, but I registered him so he wouldn’t have to. Maybe he’s just nervous. We really don’t do the message board thing (in fact he was hesitant about me even joining) but I convinced him that we would keep things simple.
We actually decided not to move in together until we’re married. I’m very much Christian and want to carry my morals and traditions with me. I’m very proud of myself as far as resisting the temptation of moving in together earlier. We did talk about it, but decided not to do it, which he was actually cool with. I’m so glad that I’ve found a Christian man to share my life with. I’ve actually been in many relationships (most of them petty, really) and never thought that I could find a man that loved the Lord as much as I do. In fact, I almost compromised my faith for a man. But then I met Dan. (And I know everyone wants to know, “How did you two meet?” I’ll talk about that later.) My life changed forever; he showed me that there’s plenty to love about myself. And he’s taught me to accept the things I can’t change about myself as he’s learned to love them (part of my character, he says!).
Okay, how we met? Dan and I actually met on vacation. He lived in Angola at the time and I came up there to swim in the lake and go horse riding. Well, I am SO glad I went! I had always wanted to ride a horse and never had (I know, I know) so I decided to check out the stables in Angola with a friend of mine. That’s where Dan comes in.
After I mounted my assigned horse, he was assigned to the humble- looking mare next to me (I’m telling you, it was fate!). After mounting, he looked over at me and said, “A beautiful horse for a beautiful lady,” and smiled at me. And I’m telling you, I could feel my heart in my throat at that second. I felt that there was no way he was talking to me! My friend decided to skip the ride, but smiled at me from the bench and gave me a useless thumbs-up. I remember being soo nervous and wanting her to be there at my side to help me out. I looked over at him stupidly and said, “Who, me?” (Ugh, could I be any lamer??) He just kind of laughed and said, “You’re the only beautiful woman I see.” I tried to play it cool and said, “Oh, well, I guess I have some bad news for my friend over there,” and pointed to Coral (my friend). I actually tried to avoid conversation with him because I was so nervous, and I tried to focus on the ride. I was really excited and didn’t really know what to expect.
Well I had to find out the hard way that it wasn’t exactly what I had planned. I imagined riding off into the sunset, my hair flowing behind me in the wind. I got exactly the opposite. I went on the most boring trail ride of my life and on top of that, my horse threw me off, breaking my ankle. This is where everything came together. He literally jumped off the horse and rushed over to me; all I remember was screaming at the top of my lungs. I still to this day don’t think I’ve ever felt more pain in my life!
I remember a lot of commotion. A few of the horses became scared and everyone was talking, rushing around. Dan told the trail leader that he would carry me back to the stable, since it wasn’t far off from where we were. I remember being really embarrassed to be in a stranger’s arms, but I was in so much pain that I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly and kept weeping, “Help me, it hurts!” We approached Coral and he told her, “She’s gotta go to the hospital.” That’s all it took and she was on her feet. We got back to the truck and he carefully laid me in the back. He then tried to take my shoe off, but I screamed for him not to touch it. He offered to come, but Coral gave him thanks and bade him leave. I remember screaming at her, “Dammit, he’s coming!”
He was really sweet to the both of us and really patient with me. He carried me into the hospital, stayed for 3 ½ hours while I got my bones reset and my cast on and took Coral and me out to lunch. The most awesome part: he asked to be the first to sign my cast, got a marker from the waitress, and wrote his number on it! While he was doing that, I noticed that he signed his name and said, “By the way, I’m Gina.” Ever since then, it’s been awesome! (LOL, I could’ve just said that 4 paragraphs ago… but I like to write and this is for anyone who wanted to know!) Wow, that was almost two years ago.
I’ll keep everyone updated.
By the way, Dan is everything to me and I’m glad I have a good reason to be wearing white down the aisle.
DAN YOU ARE THE MAN !! Welcome Dan and I hope you remain a frequent visitor of this message board. Take a few minutes out of your busy day and look at some of the posts that people have made. You will see how this P crap effects all of us. I hope that you will understand what we go through on a daly basis and you will try to help Gina cope with her situation. I wish nothing but the best for you as you spend the rest of your lives together. Take care my friend and take care of your special gift from the heavens above.

I think its called "THE HERB GARDEN" all I know is it's two left turns once we're off the exit....delicious food and healthy.

I like to read stuff on here more than I like to write but I guess like the manly man that I am (hahahahahahaha) I have to uphold this post. I don't know what to say but it would be nice to find a male buddy here that I could talk to. Gina and her girlfriends are driving me nuts! Trust me, I'm no Prince Charming. I burp, fart, curse, and have a beer or two just like every other guy. I'm not perfect. (Wait, did Prince Charming fart?) Don't let Gina fool you. But I will tell you that Gina is a brilliant, incredible person. She knows more about our piece of junk computer more than I do. We've decided to buy a new one soon, so things will run much smoother, but i'm not saying that will make me smarter. I think Gina will end up wearing the pants in this family. LOL, hopefully, that won't happen! Oh, she wants her turn on here. I had better get off before I get grounded. :)

Hi this is Dan again. Wow, Gina really has me hooked on this. I'm getting to know people and I'm having a great time. I should explain that my wife (soon to be anyway) has psoriasis (or P as everyone here calls it). She has it on just her feet, but I dont mind it at all really. Its not like she can help it. But anyway, I got sucked into this site. People are really friendly around here. I've looked under a couple of your threads and found them interesting. I only usually use the computer for doing my taxes, ebay, or downloading music. I dont really have a buddy list (we're under aol). Gina and I share a screen name but we have different e-mail addresses. I told her I was sick of getting the monthly cosmopolitan newsletter. we dont live together (yet) but spend most of our waking moments together. shes living with her mom right now but what can I say? Her mom loves me! (and my typing is getting lazy sorry) it's hard not living together. I miss her all the time and it gets lonely at night (hey lets keep a clean mind people!) when I can't hold her. she's my angel. but I know it's for the best because the big pay off is coming (not that kind of pay off!) the more I'm not around her, the more i miss her. I'm glad she's making me wait because i wouldn't make her wait another minute. I'll tell ya, she's got will power. okay, write later.

This is the best day before the best day of my life! Dan has been totally pampering me today. He got me a puppy! A week-old Jack Russel Terrier! I can't believe how small this thing is! Whatever anyone here's been telling him, I encourage you to keep doing it! He's also got the coconut oil and lavendar for me (thank you Sally! ;)) I'm having the greatest time. And I read the things you wrote Honey, I'm flattered, thank you very much! I love you so much! You've been participating much more than I thought! LOL, he'll get on soon; right now he's talking to my mother out in the kitchen!
P.S. We haven't decided on a name yet... y'all wanna help out? Any suggestions for a small, young Jack Russel Terrier? Maybe I should just post a poll, throw a couple names out there, and see what the public says. LOL, polls open for 30 minutes, LMBO!

Gina I decided to put up a poem I wrote for you the night you said yes. I never gave it to you because I was afraid you would think I was a dumbass or something but I'm not afraid anymore. I know it's bad but it's how I felt at the time. I am not the type to do this, so don't let anyone know... (lol) Oh and I checked my spelling and grammar and stuff. I wanted it to be perfect. It's not really pretty like this, (I wish I knew more about computers) but this is it. I know you like coming here so I put it where you'll find it.
