Question:
hi does any one use 3 tpyes of ointment day (protopic .1%, clobetasol .05%,vanamide 40%) and do you think it's safe. this is the frist time i use any of these.
I'm not using three, but I decided to experiment with two. When I found out that daivobet (not available in the US) was a combination of Dovenex and a strong steriod. I started using Embeline E (Clobetasol 0.05% cream) and rubbing in Dovenex over the top of it. I'm supposed to alternate these two, but I'm having success by combining them.

Protopic is a very safe ointment that is safe to use anywhere on the body and is the ointment of choise for the face and genital areas. Clobetasol is a very potent steroid that should not be used on the face or genitals and should be used very sparingly trying to get it only on the psoriasis lesions and not the "healthy" skin. Vanamide I have no idea what it is, but I think it's more or less a prescription moisturizer, but I could be way off on that so maybe someone else knows.
All three of those creams are very different and therefore it's fine to use them together. Like I said with regard to the clobetasol, use it very sparingly because steroids in general can cause skin thinning and other side effects and you are dealing with a potent one.
