Question:
Alright everyone it has been four weeks as of today. I had the last blood test done today and now I have a two week break. I know the other night when I got out of the shower I caught sight of my back and I just stood there and blinked in awe. My legs turned into wet noodles at that point and I had to sit down. About 40% of the spots on my back have nearly faded. I recieved my Atarax to help copntrol the itching in the 3rd week because I just couldn't stand it anymore. I still use it but only when things get to unmanagable for me to where I just can't grin and bear it. I am just so happy that I am recieving hte real thing and not the placebo. I had a bit of a stressful week durign the third week with the threat and actual happening of my DH beign layed off his job due to cut backs. And so insued a bit of P popping up again on my face. Its still there but slowly starting to fade again. Still can't sleep at night so I am putting my restlessness into writing a story. I am only a few pages into it because as always somethign else distracts me and I lose my train of thought. Just wanted to let everyone to know that I am still around and breathing. Just hiding out as usual. If yo ever want to talk just Pm me and I will write back as soon as I can.

:D
That great Grethen. Glad to here you are getting results. You deserve it you have had a rought year. Will keep praying that the improvement continues and soon you will be P free.

Hi Gretchen, thanks for sharing with us. I am so happy for you, hope it continues. Good luck with the writing!! :)
Ok did the check up thing yesterday. PAsi score is now 9.9.. not much since last time but things are fadign and disappearing well. heavy plaques are not as bad as they used to be. Places where I thought it would never budge are looking alot better. And ofcourse my veins struck again playign hide and seek. They ended up having ot go into my forearm. Let me tell you... That hurts!! Really really hurts. I know though I won't have my next shot until April.. Honestly can't wait..
Greal news Gretchen. Slow and steady progress. As long as you see improvement. Keep up the god work. Sorry about the bad veins and the pain of getting your blood. But in the long run its worth it.
Good luck
Mitch
Hi Gretchen, so glad to hear that you are still improving!!! What a bummer---dang veins!! Hope to see you soon on one of your "panhandle" ventures. :)
Gretchen I was happy to hear you P is better. I hope you continue to improve. Trace
Hey Pam.. I can't do any traveling until the hubby gets back to work or I do. Gotta have money to travel but i will definately keep you in mind when I go to florida next and I am needing a vacation really bad. Is your pool heated? Hee Hee
Thank you Mitch and you are right .. A little pain now saves alot of more pain and heartache that would come later without. So I see it in a win win situation. Have to stay optomistic or I go bananas... oh wait.. already there better make a banana cream pie to get over it.. :D
Good to hear from you again Trace.. You are in the ST. Louis area aren't you? If you are I am almost done gathering info I need to get this group up and running if yu are interested.

I'm proud of you for taking care of yourself and doing this treatment i'm glad you are seeing noodle-knee'd results, that's fabulous!
Keep us posted.
Gretchen, I know how exciting it can be seeing the results of Enbrel. I know a lot of people of the board who take Enbrel it helps their PA but not their P. It helps both of mine. Isn't awesome!:D
The next time you go for blood work ask them to use a butterfly needle. My veins are little and roll but usually they can hit it the first time with a butterfly. I've also found out if I don't tell them about my veins being little and rolling, they usually hit it on the first time. I think some of them freak out.
Continued luck and it gets better and better.
Angela
Denise noodle kneed? That is the first time I heard that expression.. I had to laugh.
Angela they do use butterfly needles and regular needle. What is wierd is when Jen bring in both kinds of needles she can use the reular needle and hit a vien no problem. its odd believe me. My viens are just brats thats all..:D
