Question:
.....or has this site been very slow lately. I have high speed internet and don't seem to have a problem anywhere else. I was wondering if anyone else noticed a change.

Not attempting to be different, but I've had no problems recently, but maybe I just have good luck. Come to think of it....I haven't seen Webmaster E stick his head out recently.....I sure hope he doesn't think he can get away with taking a vacation!??!!?!??

I havent noticed a problem. (I have highspeed cable connection from RCN.)
There have been a couple of backbone routers doing poorly over the last view days, including one in Atlantic City, NJ, which might affect individuals, depending on what routes their connections take, according to the Internet Traffic website. They have all of the Australian backbone servers listed as yellow, which is so-so performance, right now. (There are three color rating: green, yellow & red.)

I have normal dialup (very good but still dialup) and this site lags TERRIBLY for me.
I have been wondering if they did not anticipate the number of participants. I belong to several forums run on Vbulletin (like this one) and this is the slowest by far. But one of the other things I have noted is that it has new members joining at an incredibly high rate, so the bandwidth must be taking a pummeling.
The other day I couldnt even get on the website, I had no problem anywhere else and I spend most of my working day on the net (not surfing) so I kept trying, and then on monday I tried again and wahey it worked.

I've been DYING to try the chat but they screwed up my membership and I have given up trying to get it straightened out.
My mother has been shrieking about it, too. (It was a gift membership.) She wanted to contact the credit card company and make them issue a refund but I thought that was both over-reacting and well... the donation went to a good cause even if I never got the benefits.
Maybe it's just because the whole thing is new and they bit off more than they could chew.
