Question:
A lot of people are attaching images to messages and this slows down the uploads and your surf time. If you want to host your signature graphic or a photo to share here on these (or any other) forums, there are a few sites that host images you can load remotely:
Free Image Hosting:
http://www.tupics.com/
http://www.villagephotos.com
http://www.hostmysig.com/
http://www.datazap.net/
Once you have an account and upload your graphics you can just click the IMG button up top and type in the location. It would look something like:
http://www.myimagehosthere.com/myimage.gif

I'm extremely challanged on a computer. I don't have the foggiest about how to get a signature, an avatar, a picture or anything else that's really cool.
I do enjoy all of the graphics {as I call them ) that are on these boards. Actually, I'm in awe of you guys. Maybe someday I'll figure it out. For now I guess I'll just sit back and enjoy what you all put on the screen.
It's actually really simple. :)
If you sign up for free image hosting you can put the image you want on that account.
To save an image you just RIGHT CLICK on your mouse and select "Save Picture As" (if you are using Internet Explorer). Save it somewhere easy to find, like your Desktop.
If you want to have a signature file, in your profile you can input the location of the graphic file.
When you sign up for image hosting they pretty much walk you through the process. :D

Okay this is literally every step from beginning to end.
Go to Walagata.com
On the bottom left sign up for a new account (it's free).
Log in.
Click HTTP UPLOAD at the top of the page.
Click BROWSE. Find your image on your hard-drive.
Click the UPLOAD button on the bottom.
Click VIEW FILES on the top.
The image will be showing on that page (on the bottom). Click on the link and you will be taken to a white box with the URL of the image for you to copy. It will look something like this:
http://mercury.walagata.com/w/moviemuffin/meraven.gif
Copy it. :)
Come back to this forum. Log in. Click on USER CP in the little purple buttons at the top of the page.
When that page opens click on EDIT PROFILE.
In the SIGNATURE section type in the following:
[ img ] THE URL YOU COPIED ABOVE GOES HERE [ /img ]
*note: you must remove the spaces in the brackets... I have to type them that way for them to show up.
You now have a signature file. :D
If I used the img and /img tags with
http://mercury.walagata.com/w/moviemuffin/meraven.gif in between them it would look like this:

I tried it. It keeps telling me that my user name and password are incorrect.
What do I do now?
Try contacting them? I know they have a thingie that will mail you your username and password.
