I think that by as soon as tomorrow the radio stations will have permanently turned me off to any holiday music. I want to hear it when I'm in the mood, not every minute until Christmas Day. And for some weird reason I don't like to hear it at work.

This friend of yours wanted to post his favorite song. He couldn't type with his hooves so he's going to sing it to you instead,,,,,,,,

I totally agree with you there..................I want to hear it when I want to hear it!!! As for work, I don't like it playing at "work" (in the gym) when it's on the kids get nothing accomplished, they are already hyped about Christmas, when the songs are playing forget it I lose them!! ( I'm not a scooge, as it gets closer to Christmas we willl play them and the kids make up dances to the songs...real cute :).....just not this every day thing!)
Now, as for my favorite song........."There's no place like home for the holiday". It reminds me of being at my grandparents home in Manchester, Connecticut......snow, family, togetherness, and wonderful memories.

Well, it's bitter sweet....but Silent Night is extra special to me
I love all Christmas songs....
we can play a mean Greensleeves (What Child is This) on the guitar. Me and my husband have been practicing christmas songs for over a month hoping to make a CD by christmas.. It may or may not happen.
And I too like to choose my christmas tune listening....and work is OK for me when it's closer to Christmas.

I have a great appreciation for the "Hallelujah Chorus" by Handel. I've sung it the past 3 years with a 250+ person choir and it's really powerful. I also like "Choir of the Bells", it's so complex and busy.

Answers:

I admire anyone who can sing those songs! My mother was in a chorus when she was younger and used to love the choir of the bells...............beautiful!
