and we get all the news and politics from there....we're right close to the border...........going the backroads:D

Yes as allie pointed out I, too am from chicago. :) A couple of us get together about once a month now, and if you ever want to take the 4-5 hour drive from Quincy, or if u are ever in the chicago area for any reason drop us line, we'd love to meetcha!!

I'm originally from Cleveland, OH. Yes, I've heard all of the jokes. No, the river is no longer on fire. I also spend much of my early years in Wilmington, DE.
However, we now live in Palatine...one of the million suburbs on the far northwest side of the Windy City.

I grew up in Thornton, now reside in Glen Ellyn. BTW, Sally, those back roads are gonna get busy! 80/94 is going to get another lane ( a 2 year project).

I'm not from Illinois although I've been to Chicago and in Glen Ellyn, Clarendon Hills, etc.

I was born and raised in Woodstock, Ill. Now live in Nevada. I don't miss the cold one bit, neither does my skin. I do miss the really good beef and the sweet corn!!!!!!!!!!!! Still have lots of family all over Ill and Indiana.

I was born and raised in Fairview Park. I have family in Rocky River, Shaker Heights, Westlake, North Olmstead, Stowe and Fairview Park too!

I have a brother in Wheaton, a sister in Naperville and another sister in Elmhurst (Real close to those Keebler elves with the hollow tree) My Mom used to write a newspaper column for the DuPage Co times, but alas,,,,,,,I'm on the west coast, so I don't count, Bummer.

Indiana? My dh and #1 son went to Purdue dh engineer (what else in those days) and son Computer Science/math degrees.
other son Indiana University.(English major) so Grafexguy we were almost neighbors :D ...I'm the one that does art shows ...we talked in chat room....We used to live in Merrillville IN we're few miles south now...Crown point......(but my best art fair is in Westlake, St Johns Hosp. puts it on every July)

I have a nephew in LV...has P and PA..............My sister up and left IN with dh and 5 kids years ago...now the kids are all grown some married some not (nephew not...probably 'cause of P) but they were also from CrownPoint/Gary area....(before it became #1 sin city...of drugs) Gary used to be a really nice city believe it or not.....you are from LV...right not Reno?

My wife is from Logansport, Indiana. She was once a Hoosier, but I don't hold that against her. It just helps me understand sometimes why she is like she is... hee hee :D

Yes I'm in Vegas, sin city! You said your nephew lives here? What Derm does he see, I went to one here and he was a total jerk, his name was Mueller, I'll never go back.
We have family in Southbend so to get there you gotta go through Chicago where the factories are and I will never forget the smell, oh my god! Smells like rotten eggs. We use to go as kids to see the Notredame games all the time. One thing for all of us midwesterners is that our families were BIG, I think all those cold winter days makes people have to look to other forms of keeping warm. I use to tell my mom she was just being a good Catholic.
Tell your nephew he's got company here in Vegas! It would be great if they did a conference for the NPF here.
