Best of luck with fighting this. I gave you more info in the other post.

Hi ......I'm so glad that you found us!!! I too was so happy the day I stumbled across this site. It has been so helpful for me, the knowledge that I have gained and the wonderful people that I have met............what a great blessing!!!
Hello and welcome! You have come to the right place!
hey there,
i just found this site too, and its great! i am so glad to have finally found others who can relate to the angst of psoriasis. i'm sure you'll find loads of helpful information and suport from this community.
welcome.
Welcome, Carl! Isn't this place something? I don't post much (I think I've been conditioned to not complain about my P; most of my aquaintances don't understand & don't want to hear it.) I can feel better just reading all the wonderful posts from the warm friendly people here.
Take heart, Carl. You are not alone. There are lots of us out here.
I am sorry that you are suffering and hope you get relief soon (and the insurance pays!).
Welcome. Its a great place, because you in fact can cry - when necessary and laugh when it feels right. The most important is that there is nothing that you will ask or say - for the most part- that will surprise or put any of us off.
Use the sight- use the information and most importantly don't worry about the genuine feelings you are having. They are real and you are entitled.
Kevin
Hey Carl...welcome to the boards!! Sorry it has taken me a day or 2 to welcome you, but better late than never.
I know what you are feeling...having the worst flare that I've seen in 13 years and should be starting Enbrel this week (going to the doctor today).
What meds are you trying to get on?? Insurance will always cover something, maybe not your first choise, but depending on how bad of a flare you are having and how desperate you are something will be available...ie, methotrexate, neoral, soriatana, enbrel, raptiva, amevive....etc...
If your insurance is being a bigger pain than you feel is appropriate you can contact the NPF directly because they have an insurance advocacy department that can be a big help.
Also....depending on your financial status....if insurance does not cover, you can contact the drug maker directly and it is possible that they would suply the medication at a discount and sometimes free. There is also http://www.needymeds.com that can help, but there is a lot of paperwork and delays with them.
Hope you get some relief soon!
Thanks to all of you for your response. I did'nt know how the board worked and thought I was ignored. Wrong! You people are special and I do appreciate the info and the concern that u have voiced. Still no word from insurance and the enbrel but have hope and that is soley thanks to u guys.......Thanks and a million Hearts!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Carl welcome. Sorry I am a day late but welcome just the same. This plae has become like my second home. Caring and understanding people who know what we are going throught. They are always willing to listen and support. So welcome to the family.
Carl:
You have found the most wonderful caring family dedicated just to p!! I hope you find it to be as informative & wonderful as I have.
What is so nice is when you need support, you will find PMs in your mailbox to let you know people are thinking of you & want to be your support system. This allows you to slough off alot of your personal stress & just deal. EVERYTHING is easier when you are not alone!!
Take care & let us know how things are going w/your insurance!
Welcome!
