I just wanted you to know that the particular picture that you saw was taken at a skating clinic that Todd & his coach gave in Grapevine, Texas last October. He did a series of clinics across the country & I was lucky enough to go to that one. I do *NOT* skate. But I went & watched my friends skate with him and took pictures. It was a great day!
Wow! That would be so cool! My friend and I are nuts about figure skating, and my daughter would love to meet Michelle Kwan, or one of the younger skaters and get an autograph. It would give her the thrill of her life! Personally, I'd love to get my hands on Evgeny Pleshenko or Scotty Hamilton! Let me know if you hear of any opportunities in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for sharing. I can't even manage to get skates on, but I love watching it!

Thanks. I've gone to Stars On Ice several times in the last few years, as well as the Tour of Champions this past summer. It would just be so much fun to actually meet the skaters! My friend would go nuts if she ever met Kurt Browning. He's her favorite.
Well, if you go to the tours & can find where the buses are parked, you might can meet a few skaters that way. Sometimes they will come over to greet fans after the show if they have the time before the buses have to leave. I personally have never had any luck with that, but a lot of fans do. Most of my fan encounters have happened because I was lucky enough to know a few people that "knew" people that were connected to the skating world in some way. And then there are the events where you can pay extra to get access to the receptions either before or after some of the shows. If you go to competitions, it's fairly common to just run into skaters and coaches around the arena or town. Sometimes it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
I'm still trying to figure out how to afford tickets to the 2005 Nationals, which will be right here in Portland!

My favorites are : Kurt Browning, he is a doll & love to watch him skate. Just like Scotty Hamilton, but sorry that
he had to retire, also I can't think of his name right now, he now lives in California but is from Russia & is in
competion with Pleshenko & skates more or less like Kurt Browning. I feel sorry for Michell Kwan though as I think she got cheated in the Olympics., not being able to enter. I was so suprise to see the picture of Tod. It is a good picture of him. I like him also. I guess he'll be turning Professional if he hasn't already.
My favorite is Oksana Baiul.....and I love so many others (Elvis Stojko, Kristi Yamaguchi.........)
Don't forget the olympics are this summer in Athens..........can't wait to see the gymnastics.....any gymnastics fans????

It's so good to find other skating fans! I pretty much enjoy all the skaters, but of course I do have a distinct favorite. LOL
But when I go to watch the skating, I just love them all.

Coach, I also enjoy gymnastics. But I'm not as big a nut about it as I am skating. I'm so glad the US team has been doing so well.
Todd isn't *offically* ineligible yet. But it's just a matter of two days before he will be. He will be skating in Kurt's "Gotta Skate" this Saturday and that will make him officially pro.
Ya'll come over and visit at my board. We won't bite.
Well couch I am gymnastics fan!!! I told ya Amy my little daughter was pretty good at it even tho she never took a lesson , so I love to watch them!!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe that I have these sports in common
with y'all, as I also love the gymnastics and there's no one here that's
interested in them so I can't express my enthusiasm on any of them
to anyone, except my son, now maybe I can Huh??? However, I'm unable to go & watch
them when they appear in person, Grrrrrrr
Incidentally, I like most of the skaters a lot, but the few I mentioned, I
think are my favorites. Ha Ha, when I saw the other names mentioned,
I kept on saying "Oh Yea" Ha Ha the medication I'm taking doesn't do
much for my memory. LOL
