Question:
I figured since the Yanks, had their own thread, so should the Cubbies!!
The major difference here is we Cubs fans, are die hard and have love for the GAME, not just WINNING!! Sure it will be wonderous when the Cubbies take it all this year, but Cubs fans alike will all agree, we have been behind the team win or lose. If they don't make it this year, then they gave it their best and we will still be in support of them 100%.
So I ask you fellow cubbies fans, post not your favorite WINNING element, but the fondest memeories of the Cubbies in action or the ballpark. (If the yanks fans would like to post something here they may, cause the Cubs fans are nice people!! :p )
Mine fondest memory was when I was 5 and went to my first cubs game and had chicken pox, but snuck in and went anyway. Hopefully I didn't infect anyone, at the game, If I did I would like to extend my apology now!! :)

sorry I can't support anything from Chicago. :p

That was a heck of a game tonight. I'm sorry that your team lost.
I have no feelings at all for the Marlins.
One correction: makeit goaway asked for favorite Yankee moments, not just winning moments, although since they have won alot, uhm, it's hard not to bring that up..the one I posted involved a candy bar lol.
And since this involves Chicago, my most memorable day in Yankee Stadium was seeing Tom (Terrific) Seaver win his 300th game at Yankee Stadium, while he was pitching for the Chicago White Sox. He was very popular in NY with the Mets, and from about the sixth inning on, with Chicago ahead, the fans started rooting for them to win, which is not something you're going to see everyday, in the home ballpark. The fans stayed for 30 minutes and he kept coming out for curtain calls.

Holly cow! Talk about hedging your bets! Sounds like you are back peddling and you expect your team to lose. Yankee fans never talk about, boo hoo if my team loses we will still support them :(
It is interesting that being from North Dakota, I could be a fan of whomever I chose. I was a huge Yankee fan for many years. Then baseball got to be all about how much money you could spend. The all time winner of spending the most money to buy the best team available has been the Yankees. Who cares about team spirit when you can just go out and buy it. The Twins may "suck" as Steve has said in the past, but it is fairly amazing what a lot of spirit and not much money can accomplish. Cub fans have always had a ton of spirit and exihibit loyalty like no other fans and I wish them the best of luck when, not if, they meet the mighty Yanks. Gotta love 'em. Go Cubbies!!!

Prior pitched a great 12-3 game last night, and the cubbies have just started!!
Wood is next and expect this game to be intense like the last 2!!
GO CUBS GO!!!!

WHAT DO THE CUBS HAVE TO DO WITH PSORIASIS??
Why did you open the thread since its title made the subject pretty clear?
Perhaps people like an occasional distraction from their problems and enjoy sharing that with other posters.None of the threads seem to go away on this board, so it's not like the couple of non-P specific posts cause any threads to disappear. If posts did scroll off permanently,
then objections to the non-P posts would have a lot more validity.
GO CUBS
My son lives in Chicago and is a big Cubs fan. Several years ago several buddies and I went to Chi to see the Cubs with my son. On the ride back downtown on the "L" it caught on fire and we had to do an emergengy evacuation in an underground tunnel full of smoke. It was quite scary to say the least.
By the way we are already looking to at least 2 tickets to the world series. :) :) :) :)
Did the Cubs win?
Zara--that for the explanation you were right on target!!
Rosy--game 3 didn't happen yet
Cdelora--if you get to come down here, and have time we'd love to meet ya!!

Bella-
I was looking at the calander and doing some quick math. I think that you mentioned October 18th is when you will be in NY. The World Series will just be starting when you are in NY. How are we going to work this out?
My suggestion is that you just buy me drinks as the Yanks are sure to whip the Cubs.
Santa Maria!
:D
Just a good spirited wager! Nothing to worry about. Bella and myself have agreed to disagree. Just having a little fun!
Cool!
Bella is this true? You're gonna be in New York? That's GREAT news. I'm sure that you probably have lots of plans, but I live less than 10 minutes, by train, from the City. It would be finally get to meet you. Let me know!
