Question:
I'm new to forums, so sorry if this is a no-brainer. My son would like to have his own user name to use on the youth board. How do I go about that? I tried to sign him up for membership, but it keeps recognizing me. Thanks to anyone who can walk us though this!
Hi Tiffany,
I assume that you're using windows. You might have to delete the npf "cookie". In order to do that:
1) Click on "tools". Your internet control panel will open.
2) This step is optional. I find it helpful to delete any temporary files that may have been created during my current session, so I click on "delete files", "ok", "clear history" and "yes".
3) Click on "settings". Then click on "view files" Look for the cookies that mention "NPF" or "psoriasis". (I just checked. I have three of them -- npfboards, npfboards2, and anyuser@psoriasis.). Move your cursor over each cookie, right click on the cookie that you want to delete. Click on "delete" and then "yes" or "ok".
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions/problems.
Mike
Hi Tiffany and Mike,
Mike, that's a good suggestion, but it's not necessary to delete the cookie using the IE tool menu. Logging out of the site will have the same effect.
Tiffany, here is a simple way to accomplish what you want:
Log out of the site using the blue logout button underneath the "welcome" box on the top left side of the home page. This will remove the cookie. You can then register a new name for your son by . Once he has established this new identity, both of you can log out of one personality and into the other as needed.
