Question:
Hope I can help...
you must pick the color firststart your message right away...don't do anything yet...keep going until you finnish your message...THEN you put the next bracket at the end/color] I
left part of the bracket off on purpose, so you could see...If I put it on you would just see color...Hope this will help...You can check to see if you have done it right by hitting preview post down at the bottom, then look up at the top and you will see if you have done it right...(a little block will come up) Hope to see a lot of color in here...
Good luck!
Molly
Boy I must be dumb! What did I do wrong now???
Hi, you did it right except at the end of your message put you put the color twice...hope that will work for you...
John,I select the color and a horizonal box appears at the top of my screen. I type my message in it and it's still black print. Then I hit OK and then hit the preview message button. Now I see my message in the color I selected. Hope this helps. I know I was having a hell of a time doing it but, I finally got there. Good Luck! :) :) :)
Well, now I see there is another way to do it. I'm having all kinds of success-finally!;) ;) ;)
:o Had to take that off, too embarrassing, didn't dare delete, probably lose the whole thread:(
I'm testing. If I succeed, I thank y'all for good instructions. :) HEPS/Helen

Awwww, how cute!!! Question - How do U insert the annimation in your letter? Or, one of the smileies?
Helen
1. To get your animation go to http://webdeveloper.com/animation (or type in free gifs)
2. Scroll down to Alphabetical order
3. Click on one and find an animation that you like.
4. Right click on the animation that you like.
5. You will see a menu pop up
6. Go down to properties...click on that
7. You will see a long http://www etc (called a url)
I copy this whole thing EXACTLY...(I know this is the hard way,but the only way I can do it)
8. Go back to where you send your messages on the message board.
9. Click on IMG where you find the colors, size etc.
10. A box will come up at the top of your screen.
11. Type in the whole http:// thing you copied off
12. Then hit the OK
13. This will come down in your message box where you type
14. To see if it works, go down to the bottom and hit preview...look up at the top again and if you did it right it will be there, if not a white box with an x will appear.
Check to see if you got it right if you see it
Then you can submit it...
15. If you right click on the crying mouse, you will see what I mean and you can try it on that if you want...
16. you can print this out, so you can follow the directions
Aren't you glad you asked???????
p.s. don't pick the big ones, they may not work. keep trying, it took me a long time to get it right...
Thanks for the step by step instructions you gave me on How to do the Annimations. Ohhhhhhh. I'm getting grayer by the minute :) AND oh what a headache I'm developing! :) or maybe :( My poor little brain just doesn't comprehand. And, I found that when I use "color" I can't bring in any of the smiley faces on the left. Woe is me! :)
I love you for trying anyway Molly. I'll keep trying though. My P must've entered my brain too. I did print out your instructions.

How to download animations: if you are using WINDOWS
SYSTEM.
1. Go to www.webdeveloper.com/animations/
(or type in free animated gifs in your search engine) My favorite is Google.com
2. Right click on the animation that you like.
3. Click on SAVE IMAGE as...from that menu you will be able to rename the animation and save it on your computer in whatever directory you want.
4. When you get back to the message board, down at the bottom you will see Browse. Click on that and retrieve your animation.
5. You will NOT see the animation until you post your message...
If you are using a Macintosh computer, put your mouse cursor over the animation, then hold the mouse button down for a few seconds and you will see a popup menu...Select the Save Images as... from that menu and you will be able to rename the animation and save it on your computer in whatever directory you want...
Good Luck!
You can do this for pictures and cartoons also.
