Question:
i cant believe its been 3 years since i found the Foundation site. It seriously seems like yesterday i started posting and 3 weeks later im in a car with ms DianA on my way to san diego to my first conference and to meeting some of the BEST pple ive ever met in my entire life!
This past friday i just finished 2.5 months of Goeckerman. I started in the beginnign of May after Taclonex gave me what felt like a 1st degree burn on my legs. My skin went down hill quickly from then, and for some reason Goeckerman wasnt working very quickly or very well for me. At one point, they wanted to do Goeckerman 5 days a week, PUVA 3 days a week. my day would've been uvb lighting, soak puva, uva lighting then tar.. hang out for 8 hours, shower off, more tar then finally i go home.
It was completely wearing me out, emotionally and physically! Fortunaly i was able to start Humira which pushed my skin over the hump.. and now 2.5 months later, ive improved about 70%, enough to be realeased, and now i do topicals in my spots, light treatment and humira. My road to recovery (atleast a maintanable recovery) is still long, but atleast i can do it with the awesome friends i have who call me everyday and leave messages, asking how i am, that they're thinking about me and wishing me all the best!
There are times when im in clinic, and id just giggle to myself, thinking about the first time i met Steve.. remember steve?? at the hotel lobby in san diego?? hehehe
Or Ms Rhonda and her beautiful eyes!! Thank you and jersey so much for that awesome picture, i have itin my ipod and i look at it every single day at clinic when im feeling pretty low

Di.. my partner in crime, oomg! thank you sooo much for making this past weekend happen, when we were sitting there eating onion rings, and i said "lets go to portland this weekend" i didnt think we actually wood and on friday when we were on hwy 5 driving up to see Big Daddy... i still couldnt believe it! i totally needed that weekend and it was soo wonderful to do the walk, to hang out with big daddy and to just be "normal" after ive been stuck in one place for soooo long!
Big Daddy... *hugs* you.. rock.. my... friggin... world... thank you soo much for beign our host and showing us CA girls such a great time. Next time i come back around.. HBIC, dont forget.... i get the bed ;)
Karen, Cat, Jodes and everyone else who sent emails, msgs, myspace notes.. etc. thank you all! im finally "free" and i will be in Vegas. i hope to see you guys there!

Wow, Bren. I had no idea that you were going through such a rough time. Fred, Rhonda and Karen all told me that you were doing Goeckerman, but I really had no idea. :( (I really need to do a better job at keeping in touch with people.) I'm sorry that you had to go through all this, but I'm glad that you're doing better. I'm glad to you're coming to Las Vegas. It's always so much fun to hang out with you.

Doesn't seem that long ago, but when I look back on it all, It sometimes seems longer than that.
I would likt to thank each and everyone of you for helping me through some of the most difficult times in my life.

3 years is a lot. I found this a few years back but never joined...it wasn't until recent that I actually became interested in my P, and didn't just ignore it like I did the other things wrong with me.
Hopefully I'll make it that far too.

honestly guys, no one besides Di knew exactly what i was going through, most pple take 4 weeks, 6 weeks.. i took 2.5 months!! i completely kept to myself. and the portland walk was completely last min. Di and i were looking for a way to celebrate my release.. and we both missed Eric so much.. we just popped up!

I can still remember meeting you for the first time in San Diego, you were so vivid and yes LOUD!! I loved every second of it, and BASTON (said in Kar's accent) was amazing!!! REMEMBER!?!?!??! ;)
