Question:
...a 5 minute conversation can ruin your whole day?
Yeah...I called my mom during my lunch break, telling her the good news of getting my Enbrel back and what not. Know what she decides to share with me? That she's discussed it with my father, and they're most likely (I hate that term...I really do...) and now she's telling me that she's going to be getting a condo...and she wants me to sign over on a lease/morgage with her...
I have two reasons for why I'm moving back home to begin with:
1. No rent.
2. This crap my mom is pulling...I'm worried about my younger (16) brother.
If I move in with her, I wouldn't be fulfilling either of those reasons, now would I?
-sighs- I'm attempting to not let it get to me, but I just engulfed 10 chicken wings out of aggravation (I eat when I'm bored/annoyed/ticked off)...and now I feel slightly sick to my stomach...>.<
If I ate 10 chicken wings I'd be feeling sick too. :) They are amazingly good and amazingly nauseating. :D
I'm sorry this is happening to your family. There is never anything good about a family breaking up. Is your younger brother going with your mom or staying with your dad? Either will be difficult. Be there for your brother whether you move in with you mother or your father. Keep in close touch and be available whenever he needs you.
I had a pact with my teenagers that if they were ever in a situation they felt uncomfortable with, no matter where, no matter what time, they could call me and I would come get them. My son was the only one who ever took advantage of the pact. One night he was out with a bunch of guys when he was in high school. The guys had been drinking and he knew it was dangerous to be in the car with them. He made up an excuse and asked to be dropped off at a pizza hut. He called me and I went and got him. No questions asked. Later that night one of the guys he was with got into a fight with some gangsters in a parking lot. He was stabbed in the chest and died of the wound. My son was devastated. But my son was alive and well. If I had been harder to live with, he might not have called me. He could have been there when the other boy was killed. Being there for a teenager is so important. The best thing you can do for your brother is be there.
Ok, Hopping off that soap box again!
Hang in there Nikki!

I'm hoping he's staying with my father...my dad has the house, and our house is only a mile and half away from the school. Plus, my mom just finished school so she still doesn't have a job (thus no money) and even with her job, she wouldn't make enough to sustain any decent form of living...my father makes over 100k a year, but most of it goes back into the business and bills and what not. My mom (as I said) is attempting to get me to move in with her to help her pay for an apartment/condo...which is ridiculous because a condo now a days (down there at least) is as much as our house was 13 years ago. Almost (if not more) than 100k for a condo! I don't think so...
My brother will probably (sadly) be visiting my mom on weekends, or something like that. I can do whatever I want, and can stay home (I'm refusing to go visit my mother once she goes through with this...) and my excuse will be work, school, house work, etc. When I move home I'll be pulling 3 parts of the family...mom, student, and housewife, basically. I have to care for my brother (luckily he can drive in a month), clean, cook, do laundry, take care of the 5 pets we have, as well as work a part time almost full time (24 - 32 hours a week) job, and go to school full time (5 classes) and do homework at the same time. This is gonna kill me, and while doing this I have to attempt to keep my brother and father whole, and myself from going insane, and spiralling into a deep dark depression (again). I was moving home to go to Comm. College so I can get my scholarship back, and get my GPA back up to par, because I just got kicked out of college a few months ago, and I want to go back. I dunno, but maybe after my junior year if it's too much, I'll have my brother move into an apartment with me, and move down to miami, or maybe (hopefully) with his grades up he can get a full ride scholarship off of foot ball and academics to any school he wants...Probably this school in Georgia for Aerospace engineering (he wants to build the rockets, and then fly them...lol.)
Yeah. I'm sure I can handle it, but god dang, it's gonna be hard.
I'm really sorry that all this is happening. Try and keep your chin up. I hope everything eventually works out.
