Question:
I've done forum searches, checked the rules and FAQ, and not found an answer to this question.
There's someone I want to block from sending me PM's and I cannot figure out how to do this.
The "ignore" function only seems to hide forum posts made by a particular person; it does nothing in the PM realms.

Thanks for assistance :)
hi rb,

Red- On your user CP you can edit options to not accept PM's
RB, you can also delete PM's so you wont have to read them... I've done that once....I was going to pm you so don't disable it just yet..
You could also alert the moderators that someone is harrassing you.
I noticed in another thread that some one thought it prudent to post a pm and embelish, I've seen it done more than once since joining the boards way back when, you'd be surprised at what pops up on the internet in different places! ....don't let it ruffle your feathers too much tho, not worth the stress. At one time I use to try to figure out just what was going on in a persons head...then thought eh do I really want to know or do I really care?
Anyway, I'm going to send u a pm DONT DELETE IT :p
Karen :)
It's not that I don't want to accept PMs at all. There are some very nice discussions going on "behind the scenes". Ouchyk's PM was very helpful, for instance :)
It's that one specific person is bothering me and I want to block PMs from THAT ONE PERSON ...
Edit made after Tim's post: 6. is not viable in this case. Asking the individual to stop PMing me will have a result akin to pouring gasoline on a fire.

Hello Red-Barchetta,
You are currently stuck with limited options. You can:
1. Block all PMs. (not a viable option) :(
2. Prior to reading, delete the PMs from this individual (although #3 or 4 are probably most appropriate) :(
3. Read the PMs from this person and if harrassing, or off color, forward the message to the moderators. (not preferred, but almost necessary)
4. Do not read the PMs from this individual but instead, copy and paste and forward the PM to the moderators (Hard to do, and you might wind up sending a heartfelt apology to the moderators) :(
5. Get into a PM flame war with this individual (Not recommended ever)
6. Ask the individual to stop sending you PMs. :(
At any rate there is no upside to being harrassed. Hopefully the issues with this individual will be resolved very soon.
You bring up a great point.
I would like it if when someone is placed on our ignore list that we cannot recieve PMs from them, and also that we are not subjected to ever seeing what or even if they are posting to the community. The current "ignore" feature is kind of like turning out the lights while some one is YELLING at you.
Cheers :)

The "unofficial" ones are appreciated, don't get me wrong.
