Question:
Hi I am new here and I do not want to propergate something which is not legal, but someone once to me to try an amphetemine drug which is illegal, so I did, the drug is called Crystal meth, an guess what within a week it put my psoriasis into remission. I think that this thing targets the cause not the symtoms.i.e. somehwere in the brain where the originating instruction for the mis-behaviour of the T-cell gets altered thus the problem get subpressed.
Now please don't go try this drug it is very dangerous drug and in other ways inthat the side effects are mind altering substance also it is very addictive to a person. The effects on the brain with this susbstance are not clearly checked out but i am just sharing my experience, I had to go to rehalb to get off the stuff. But what I know for a fact is that soemwhere in the chemical composition of this bad drug lies the structure for the permanent and quick remission of this disease we suffer from. who or which Dr. can I refer this to to have a look and see what they can find here. I am telling you this thing really works like magic but the side effects are not good. Anybody with some ideas??
Hey Nagan01!
Im not a crystal meth user or anything like that…but I have been prescribed amphetamine drugs such as Ritalin and Adderall to help cope with my ADD for the past two years. I don’t know if your familiar with the chemical composition of adderal/Ritalin but basically, there’s one carbon atom difference between crystal meth and adderall (at least that’s what I heard)…IMO, it’s the same stuff, pharmaceutical grade. In the past, when I had dependency issues, I would sometimes crush up my pills and use them the same way as meth. Don’t worry, I don’t have that problem anymore, and ive stopped taking them all together for awhile now.
In my past experience with amphetamine based drugs, I never really noticed a significant difference in my P. I primarily have it on my elbows, knees, groin area and a couple other miscellaneous places. What I did notice tho, when I did do those drugs, the occurrence of my flares reduced. In my opinion, I think it had to do with the “high” I got from it, it left me with that “I feel f*#&ing great feeling” if you know what im talking about (something that has to do with the increase in serotonin levels)…which resulted in a reduction in my stress levels. As a result of not being stressed so much as I am normally, I didn’t have didn’t have as many breakouts or flair ups compared to before.
So perhaps meth helped to reduce ur stress levels, thus reducing the amount of flares your normally used to, which caused it to reduce your P on ur body. That’s my guess…good luck with your research!
i used ritalin and adderall for a while and didnt notice a difference in my P
I could not help but respond to this thread. For those people reading this that might think that maybe taking something like this illegal drug might be the answer to your problems with psoriasis, maybe you better think again. I am not writing from any personal experience here but my instinct tells me if you are thinking that this may be the answer to your problems dealing with psoriasis............... think about what it would be like dealing with psoriasis and being addicted to drugs, too. Or think about what it might be like being in prison and dealing with psoriasis. OR DEAD.

Susan,
Thank you for your post. I have been wanting to respond to this but wasn't sure how to. I couldn't agree with you more.

It seems like this has come up a few times. Drugs= P gets better.
PLEASE do not try to use illegal drugs in hopes to help your P (think twice about some legal drugs as well)
I went through a rough period in my life when I did way too much of that stuff, and I now am sticken with multiple health problems. I refuse to believe that the 2-3 years of living a toxic life didn't contribute to the multiple health problems that i have now.
Trying to reverse the damage done by illegal drugs and alcohol is much harder than causeing the damage. And the damage happens before you know it. There is no way that I can stress the danger of these drugs enough.
I am not some stuffy, conservative person saying this. I have been there, and know more about this subject than most. I am saying from experience that there are NO positive effects from these drugs.
Also, I NEVER noticed a difference in my P during that time- if anything it got worse. If I had to bet, there is another factor here, other than the Meth. Just to guess, when a person is using meth, they quit eating as much as they used to. Meth, cocaine, ritalin, and all other speed drugs reduce your appetite. I am guessing that the reduction in the food taken in (something that the user was not eating) caused the remission in the P.
I think it was quite irresponsible for you to post this. It could be impressing on young teens who come here desperate for help.
And a great way to boost seratonin levels is to excersise!!!!

A couple of you people need to seriously learn how to respect peoples views and opinions about an issue like this. I highly extremely doubt a desperate young person would be swayed to do meth based on couple of posts on a forum. Either way, if kid were to be influenced...its probably cuz hes just plain retarded, which would justify why the the hell he would do meth at an early age in the first place...they're not desperate, just what i like to call "a few fries short of a happy meal". Either that, or his/her parents sucked at raising him, perhaps the parents never forced him to watch those "scared straight" tv shows from back in the day. Anyways....I should ALWAYS be able to feel 100% comfortable and open when i discuss my experiences within these forums. Some of you arent letting me, because you think its so damn important to voice your opinion about how bad drugs are, and how people who use them suck at life. If i cant openly discuss it here, then where else?
My P cleared completely (well, I was only around maybe 5-10% if that) when I was in the hospital hooked up with A) oxygen B) dilaudid C) gluten free food... I flared IMMEDIATELY upon getting off all three...
so, uh, does anyone have a spare oxygen tank sitting around I could borrow :D
Drugs not approved by the FDA are considered "bad" for good reason, two of which being because they're not regulated and there isn't enough research in using them as any sort of treatment for any condition... plus, there's too many variables when using something "illegally" that can factor in to how your system reacts to them (ie. unregulated, cut, source, personal chemical make up, other substances it could interact with, the list goes on) and therefore nullifies any claim anyone may have to their potential benefit towards any infliction.
If you tried something and it had a positive side affect such as clearing P, fantastic, however weigh that against the negative affects.. I heard "rehab" in there... and then rethink what worked for you.
Just some food for thought.
And a great way to boost seratonin levels is to excersise!!!!
+8.7 billion.... exercise is key for so many reasons. Anyone who thinks otherwise will never beat this disease. Yeah, you may think your P is getting worse when you're done exercising, but that's just blood rushing to the surface of your skin and will die down... exercise more than you ever thought you possibly could!!!
YOUR BODY CAN HANDLE MORE THAN YOUR MIND THINKS IT CAN!!... this doesn't mean do more drugs :).. it means when you're tired from exercise, exercise more and quit crying about it.
