Thanks, Rich. I'm just across the bridge from Portland, and it was pretty wild around here yesterday. Lots of trees and power lines down overnight, and it's been a long time since I've seen it like that. It all calmed back down today, and we even had a little sun this morning. Then around noon we got hail for about 45 minutes, followed by about an hour of snow that started sticking!!  Then the sun popped back out, and it all went away....waaahhh!!!....lol. We're supposed to get another storm in tomorrow, but I don't think it's supposed to be nearly as exciting. Surf was definitely up at the beaches though: they had waves up to 45 ft!!
WoW! Sounds like you guys in Oregon had an interesting couple of days. I wonder if any of the local extreme surfers took advantage of those 45 foot waves? Keep Safe!
hi kim,

Oops! Seems I spoke a little too soon. We hadn't been over on the side portion of our backyard since the storm. Well, today our neighbor noticed that we lost about 20 ft of fence!...lol. Fortunately, it just went down, and we just need to put in a new support pole...metal this time instead of wood. Still, it sure beats having a huge fir tree fall in your bedroom!
