Well ladies and gentleman I really want to take the time to thank each and everyone of you again. It took three years to get to these boards and whalla, P is pretty much gone after just a few months. I've spent a lot of time on the boards, even after my mysterious healing. I say mysterious because nothing seemed to work right until I got here and got going. Was it just the lights, the mositurizer, the lexapro.....geez, i don't know. I went to my chiro today and showed her my back, she couldn't believe it. When she used to give me adjustments she could feel the plaques underneath my shirts. I thanked her for her help and said, I guess it was a combination of everything. And thats what I think it was, a huge combination of everything.
Anyway, this place is not a roach motel, and it is time for me to keep some of my opinions to myself. I've always been a little rough on the edges, however, my posts concerning my P care have been left for eternity or until they are deleted. Since my clearance I have spent my time here in conversations telling liberals where to go, and trying to figure out if the baby pictures are boys or girls. I now lurk the P side to see whos doing uvb and throwing in a few cents here or there, sometimes maybe even a little rough.
So, although I am not going for good, you most likely won't see me on much anymore. I hope to continue my P ways locally with a support group and the good friends that I've found over here in Michigan. I've got a good derm in GR and some friends at U of M that can be helpful to our P souls in west michigan. Hopefully I can be helpful in the local area, I think that is the best place for me to expend my energies. I also hope to develope the Goeckerman site a little bit more, I have neglected it spending time on the boards. The Goeckerman is a good program and I think it still has a lot of value for some cases. So thanks again, I might drop by now and then, but its time to put what I've learned into practice.
PS, Rich, stay away from the banannas and get your butt to the derm!

You cannot leave just because you are clear! Lots of us are clear , but we are still here! You are one of us now, and we need and enjoy your posts! The boards are not gonna be the same without you! :(
Clearing is always great news and we all wish you long term success.
Since you admit to be a little "rough around the edges" at times I will take this time to send some "roughness" back to you!
I have to say that it is somewhat self centered to come, gather, recieve, and leave! I may be a tad self-endulged when I claim that there is not much that anyone can teach me about P or it's treatments, but I stick around here and will do so for the long haul to give support to those in need and those newly diagnosed.
I remember the relief I felt when I first discovered these boards. I remember people being patient with me and setting me straight when I had incorrect understanding of something or was being blinded by snake oil merchants in my desperate appeal to find the magic and well hidden "cure".
You spent so many months gathering information and learning from this site and now that all is well you are ok with an occational post once in a while? Now, you certainly don't need to be a junky, but remember how you felt when you first started and the difference that these boards made to you.
i have been thinking this all moring. i don't know why but i feel alittle let down buy you leaving. i think of you as my brother and yes no more bananas. well i said my feels and is time to move on. i wish you the best my friend.

I'm clear! Have some joint issues, but I feel like Chaim does when it comes to feeling obliged to sticking around and helping the new folks. I can't believe how finding this sight made my life turn totally around with regards to seeking new treatments, taking total advantage of the support and meeting a super group of new friends (who feel more like old tried and true friends). The derms weren't doing it. I honestly feel that many of us have a broader knowledge of P & PA than most derms. And armed with that information we are able to seek out a derm or a rheumy that we feel confident with.
I pop in and play the games. Everyone knows I love the poetry sight. It's like calling a friend at the end of the day and saying hi. And I search through the other forums to see if I can help someone.
When I came on as a newbie; Mitch, Chaim, Steve, Mike, Karen and Kim (and forgive me if I haven't mentioned everyone) reached out to me. I was wandering around the threads for a while, popped into chat and before I knew it I felt as if I were home!!! I'd like to be able to do that for others and I think I might have been somewhat successful.
But, you know something? That's not for everyone. I just hope that you would not post few and far between. You are an interesting intelligent person. And I think you have a lot to offer this website. And while we're at it, would you mind coming over and teach me to shoot before I leave for AZ?

Just because you aren't posting much lately (i'm a good example of that) for whatever reason... busy or p. free does not mean you have to leave. Does one ever officially leave their family? When you go away to college, move on, get married etc etc? No. Family is still family no matter how much your personal life takes you away physically and emotionally. You always have family, and having family you are there for each other, it doesn't have to be every day, even if a week, or a month go by you can always count on a smile, an ear, a word of encouragement unconditional love and support. And it's not just what you receive it's what you are giving by being a part of that family. Even if you just show up ...that's OK...because that alone can give others comfort.
This is what we have here, a family.

Thank you for all of your responses and support. For those of you who read this the wrong way, please read the quote above again. To expand on this a little, I'm not going for good. I just am reorganizing my energies towards things at home which include our local P support. This means I'm just taking a break from being on here from morning to night.
I'm not sure what kind of web statistics Eric has at the NPF, but I've got a few hours logged I'm sure.
If you let P take control of your life not only is it bad for you, it can also interfere with things you need to do at home, work, and with your family.
Thus having a certain amount of hours in my life for the duties I have in life, now I am going to put my home, family, and daughter first. I don't think any fathers or mothers here would disagree with this.
I will post as required, but I'm not going to be on every day or hours per day. Again, I'm just backing off a lot, thats it. Don't put an APB out on me.

This computer is a lifesaver at times and it can get consuming. And to think I didn't even know how to use one 4 years ago. When my feet are so bad I can't walk, I do a lot of research-medical and genealogy, and using the computer.

im so sorry for what i said. i hope you all can forgive me. i can't never leave my 2 family. you are so wonderful to help keep me going though my up's and downs in my life. some day my life will be great. as long as i have you and my home family it will all way's be that way. my pain has kick in good today. i though of you all all day. i give my family at home 100 % of my love and time.
