A heartfelt, "THANK YOU!!"
Question:

Just wanted to issue a very public thank you to several individuals who privately made donations in support of my participation in the Arthritis Foundation's 15th annual Jingle Bell 5K walk/run in Ft. Worth. Thanks to the generosity of my supporters, I was the 2nd biggest fundraiser!! :)
Participating meant so much to me, personally, as I spent the first half of this year UNABLE to walk. Sadly, as things turned out, I've developed problems with the knee again and was not able to do the 5K as I'd hoped (seeing surgeon later this week) ... BUT, I did attend the event, along with a "surprise guest."
SO, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to Dee (photochick66), Mike (MikeK), Randy (rfmdallas), Katie (MrsSooners74), and of course, Matt (FlakeyMatt) for your support. Y'all rock!!

This was on my mind just last night!!! I'm so sorry I missed the opportunity to support you, and am kicking myself in the brain for doing so.
I'm glad you still were there and a part of the event, and participating in whatever way you were able to...
Take care...sending you some good mojo for when you see your surgeon.

Cat, I'm also sorry I totally missed supporting you :o Way to go, girl, being such a top fund raiser (and for all your favorite folks :) ). My sister is doing the Jingle Bell Run in December up in Maine. Last year her team ran in the snow (dressed as Christmas packages). What a hoot!
I'll say a little prayer for your visit with the surgeon. I do hope all goes well and am sorry to hear you're having such problems with the knee.
By the way, absolutely wonderful, terrific, great PICTURE you guys! Your smiles say it all :)
Love,
Nancy

You go Cat!
I am not sure how far you were from being the top fundraiser, but had I known, I would have written a very fat check. It might not be be worth much but it would have been big and fat
Hoping for better days ahead for us all!

Answers:

My deepest regrets for not participating. I must have missed a thread somewhere. Congrats though.

Thanks, everyone!! :)
Actually -- Mario, Tim, Nancy, Julio -- y'all didn't miss anything -- just didn't feel right about posting on the NPF's message board, soliciting donations for ANOTHER organization. Sooooo ... I, um, limited my arm-twisting (which obviously wasn't quite enough for DianA, lol ... ) (you know I'm kiddin', GF!! :p ) to my MySpace site and a few e-mails.
Nancy & Cindy, I DO remember reading about the walks y'all mentioned; just didn't realize they were the Jingle Bells, in different cities!!
Tim, I'm sure the Arthritis Fndtn. would still be happy to receive your big, fat check -- just make sure it's 1st, GOOD, and 2nd, that it has MY name on it!! :p (Hope to see you soon ... and to meet the missus!?!)
Randy & Julio, guys, we're planning on organizing a TEAM next year!! ;) (One word enticement for Julio ... S O N I C ! ! !)
As for the knee, it's "clicking" in the front (not painful), and "snapping" in the back (painful) with each step; thankfully, though, it remains stable. As long as I don't run the risk of any permanent harm, I plan to leave well enough alone but first must determine what IT is. Seeing orthopod Thursday morning; assuming I'll be in for another MRI. Fingers tightly x'd as I'm due to start back to school late January!!
FYI, anyone interested in locating and possibly participating in a Jingle Bell Run/Walk in their area, I've included the link below. When we have the opportunity to participate in NPF walks, I'm there!! :)
