Seems to be a glitch: When I search for a term, the search only returns messages that are 24 hours old or newer, regardless of how the date fields are set. See this earlier thread:

ya, I have to go in and update all the search terms... and there's probably a setting that says "only update them every XX hours" I'll go look for it now...
